Bella grande Cottage in Lake of Bays

Grande cottage di famiglia sul lago di baie con grande sala grande per famiglie numerose o gruppi di amici. 300 piedi di litorale che comprende una darsena a due piani e spiaggia artificiale che è grande per i bambini, acqua 6-7 piedi di profondità al largo della fine del molo che lo rende perfetto per le attività nautiche. Grande camino e cucina, perfetto per rilassarsi tempo di vacanza a Muskoka. In una baia tranquilla vicino a Dorset. Dorset è a circa 8 minuti di macchina e ha un grande negozio di alimentari, negozio di liquori, distributore di benzina e ristoranti.

The Varcoe cottage wears very welcoming. Jenna was extremely helpful. Took our boat up and had a great time on the water canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Great Lake to tour.

Perfect cottage experience!

We travel to different cottages around Ontario every summer and Loved our stay at this beautiful spot! So much room to play and relax, inside and out. It had everything that we needed and more. The views from the boathouse were stunning and there was just the right amount of activity on the lake. Would definitely recommend it! Jenna was always quick with responses to our questions...thanks for sharing your cottage!

More beautiful than expected and great for a large group

We liked the property from the listing description and photos but once we arrived, the property was much larger than we thought it would be! It's also a very beautiful property hidden in the tress but not too secluded (while neighbours are nearby there was still privacy). We were a group of 10 adults, 3 children and two dogs and there was plenty of room and sleeping quarters to accommodate us comfortably. Lots of seating in the living room (very comfy sofas and armchairs) and a great fireplace that we took advantage of in the early mornings. For meals the seating was also more than adequate with a dining table indoors and out on the cottage deck. We most enjoyed the boathouse and the lake deck - shallow swimming and sand close to shore for the little ones with lots of deck space for towels and chairs. The water depth was comfortable for everyone (lots of jumping off the dock!) and all the water toys and life jackets was an added bonus (less to haul from home). Close by the water there is also a fire pit where a nightly fire was enjoyed - just be careful as it's on a bit of a hill! Getting up and down from the lake/boathouse area to the cottage was not a problem with stone steps that are lit at night - definitely a plus if you are using the boathouse as sleeping quarters as we did. The yard space by the cottage was also great for kiddo and pooch playtime - lots of space for running, kicking a soccer ball around or a game of bocce ball. For part of the week we rented a boat from the marina in Baysville which was also pretty convenient and easy to do - not too expensive and we were able to ride the boat straight from the marina to the cottage (with the help of a lake map - available at the marina!). We had a great week and would love to visit again! Thanks to the owner for all her help and patience with all our questions (and there were many given the size of our group and many different needs) as well as her tips and advice on the area! We arrived to a handwritten welcome note that had even more tips/ideas and throughout the stay she was also very accessible by text. She was extremely helpful when we had questions that week and really extended the kind of hospitality that made you feel at home. Thank you again! PS: Biggest "surprise" - private outdoor shower! Duckling visits in the morning at the shore a close second!
