Terrible

Please save your money and rent elsewhere. The picturesque photos do not depict what you get. The best thing about this place is the view. That is the extent of the positive for our experience. Our family rented the Coyote in the Woods cabin and for starters the place was FILTHY. Everything was covered in dust and cobwebs. Even the glass front door welcomes you with the fingerprints of the previous tenant. The dishes are chipped and the pots & pans had residue on them (wash before use or eat out). The A/C thermostats have a lock boxes and your comfort level will be dictated to you by the gestapo groundskeeper. The harassment we experienced was something else. He literally watched our every move. He lives next door so he sees all. You want a mountain cross breeze? I think not! Don’t even think about trying to let in some cool mountain air on his watch! He will blow up your phone with threats or pull in the driveway like a raging bull. Southern hospitality? More like Southern HOSTILITY. If you are a working family like us, please heed our warning and STAY AWAY. There are plenty of other places to rent where you will receive a warmer welcome and the host is actually a host instead of a warden.

Breathtaking Retreat

This property is absolutely gorgeous. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The cabin was very clean and very nicely decorated. The bedding was luxurious and super comfortable, and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything we could possibly need. The views were magnificent from both the front as well as the back of the cabin and far exceeded expectations. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain getaway.

Family get together

This a very spacious house. The kitchen is equipped with every trinket anyone might need to prepare a gourmet meal. The house was super clean. Nice outside space, with a spa. 1. The house has only 4 bedrooms not 6 as advertised. 2. To our surprise, the thermostats were locked up and set at 68. Though the manager offered to come over and adjust it if needed, how many times can you really call him to accommodate the different temp needs for day/night and for the different parts of the house (all 3 thermostats were locked)? 3. The manager called us before arrival and asked us to stop at Walmart and buy garbage bags because the house did not have enough (!!). Really?! We paid a lot for our stay… you would think that it is the manager’s job to ensure that there are enough garbage bags at the house! 4. The house had 2 coffee pots, one making single cups and one 12. The 12-cup coffee pot was not working. We informed the manager but he brought a single cup coffee maker. He insisted that he did not have another one to give us. When we complained (we were 14 people staying at the house) he huffed and puffed, and grudgingly left saying “I guess I have to go buy one”. He returned shortly after and dropped off a used coffee maker. Some minor easy fixes: There are no cloth hungers in the closets. Some of the pots were damaged and may need to be replaced or even just tossed since there are so many extras.

Beautiful view, decent home & rude management

First of all, the home is not advertised correctly. It's only 4 bedrooms! The 1 bedroom over the garage with 4 single beds has no A/C or any ventilation system - it was around 90 degrees in there at all hours of the day so it was not inhabitable even with the one small window open and a fan running. The other 'bedroom' with the 2 bunkbeds and futon couch (which was peeling apart and putting fake leather pieces everywhere) is an open room next to the pool table with no doors - meaning no privacy. We rented this home because we needed at least 5 bedrooms for privacy so we were very disappointed. At check in, the gentleman that met us was quite rude and almost refused to give us the pool table balls because we had children and he said we'd ruin the floors. The manager has to pickup the garbage every other day... well the first time he came by he saw cigarette butts in a water bottle that my brother properly disposed of (rather than flick the butts in the yard) and he automatically accused us of smoking in the house. He also sat in his truck and SUV just watching us while playing with the kids out front. The owner put a complaint in on us because we had a kiddie pool and slip 'n' slide inflated for the kids that they had already given us written notice that it was authorized. I had to spend hours on the phone with VRBO on my vacation proving I had asked permission and was in the right. I also had to ask them to delete the videos and pictures they were taking of our minor children without permission. Two days before checkout, I received a text stating they'd be there at 10am the next day to inspect and to please list out all damages we've caused to claim on our insurance we purchased. Are you kidding me? I've never damaged a home I've stayed in. Overall, we enjoyed our time together but would never come back.

Church senior citizen trip

My church’s senior citizens went on this trip and we really enjoyed it. I would go back and I recommend. The owner was nice and helpful

Very safe to get to and accessible with wide and easy to get to roads. 10 minutes from I-77 at the Shelton Vineyards Exit.
