My fiancee & I enjoyed a wonderful 10 day stay at Paul & Tetyana's studio this past July. The studio was clean and exactly as pictured. Mostly everything that we needed was provided (drinking water, cooking ware, washer/dryer & detergent, bug spray, beach towels, snorkel gear, a cooler, etc.) We were even pleasantly surprised with a bottle of champagne in the fridge upon our arrival! The view from the balcony is breathtaking and there are lounge chairs and a bbq provided as well. We did have trouble finding the place on our first day (it's a little off the beaten path), however Tetyana answered our calls promptly and was extremely helpful in directing us. We decided to rent a car for only 5 days out of our 10 day stay, however I would suggest having a rental car (4WD if possible) for the entire trip if you are able to as taxis can be extremely expensive. Paul connected us with a friend of his who is a taxi driver, Shamara, and she was WONDERFUL! She had very fair pricing, knew her way around the island very well, was extremely personable and gave us plenty of advice on where to go/what to do. We did not have the pleasure of meeting Paul & Tetyana, but they did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible and were quick to answer any questions we had. It was convenient having our personal kitchen because we chose to cook many of our meals, just be prepared for the groceries to be much more expensive than they are in the states. We found that Mo's Fresh Market had the best quality food & fairly decent prices. Overall, our stay was incredible and we would gladly stay at Paul & Tetyana's place again when we return to St. Thomas. It was definitely hard to leave! We thank you both again for the hospitality. My wife and I are not resort people, so we chose to do a VRBO to give us more freedom and to see and explore the island at our own pace. We wanted a place that was close to the water but away from the beaten track. We also wanted to be able to cook some of our own meals, and have privacy too. This rental had all of those things and more.

I was nervous about doing a studio, but it was plenty of space as we were traveling a lot during the day anyways. The deck is also huge which doesn't make it feel small at all. The kitchen has all the basics you'd need to cook a solid meal, and there's even a TV and wireless router devoted solely to that room.

One important thing to know about the water access is that it is not an easy walk. It took about 10 minutes to hike down a few switchbacks and crawl over the rocks to get down to the water. Personally, we loved it, and felt it was a special, nearly untouched, part of the island to explore. But it's not for the faint of heart, and the hike up will be a work out. Once to the water though, you could jump in and immediately see schools of fish, corals, and beautiful reef. We did a lot of snorkeling on our 10 day trip, and this was some of our favorite.

There are also kayaks tucked away on the rocks which made for a fun venture around to sunsi bay. It was a bit challenging to get them out and put them back, but definitely worth it. There was also snorkeling equipment provided, which was great because we didn't have to pack it (and it's a really good set too).

One final note about the rocks, definitely bring sandals! There are sea urchins you wouldn't want to step on.

Also, when it comes to vehicle, we found that a mid size car did just fine (we had an Elantra). The roads are a bit bumpy at times, but no need for a Jeep here (it might make the tight turns harder to be honest).

All in all, we couldn't think of a better place to stay during our trip to St Thomas. Paul and his family were very welcoming and inclusive. They had a bottle of champagne in the fridge upon our arrival, brought down cake one night, and also had us up for their 4th of July party. We highly recommend and have been telling our friends to go there if they ever visit.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The studio was very well equipped and comfortable. It was wonderful to drink our morning coffee and grill dinner on the deck. The view is breathtaking! Red Hook and Lindquist Beach (our favorite) are only a few minutes away. I strongly recommend renting a Jeep. Thank you, Paul and Tetyana, for a lovely vacation!

This studio was amazing! The views were breathtaking and the studio was very private and comfortable. The owners have thought of everything in terms of accommodations. The onsite laundry facility, coolers, chairs and snorkeling gear came in handy. My husband asked Paul for fishing gear and he graciously allowed him to use his personal fishing gear. Paul was also nice enough to show my husband the way to access the beach (a bit of a hike but well worth the trouble). We can't say enough about this place. Thanks to Paul and Tetyana for being such amazing hosts!

My husband and I stayed five nights here. It was a great experience and we would definitely come back! Paul and his wife are very friendly and hospitable. The view is to die for and the room was clean and comfortable.
