Hillcrest Lodge is a part of a neighborhood called Sylvan Lake Falls located on the backside of Black Rock Mountain which is right off of HWY441 n between Clayton and Dillard Georgia. Sylvan Lake falls is a quiet mountain community with year-round residents. It has very little traffic as the roads are all gravel. This is a close-knit community that looks after each other. Enjoy the picnic area on Sylvan Lake and don't miss the Waterwheel at the base of the dam. Seasonally you will find that it is still working and is used to grind the cornmeal. Enjoy this mountain community overlooking Wolfork Valley with easy access to Clayton, Dillard, Lake Burton, and Helen, Georgia as well as Franklin and Highlands, NC. Once you leave 441 it takes about 10 minutes to get up the mountain to Hillcrest. From Hillcrest, you are about 5 minutes to the entrance of Black Rock State Park, 15 minutes to Clayton, 25 minutes to Tallulah Gorge, 30 minutes to Lake Rabun, 15 minutes to Dillard, 30 minutes to Franklin, NC, 40 minutes to Highlands, NC, and 60 minutes to Helen, Ga.
