We really enjoyed the beachhouse, it is located right on Nantasket Beach, and at a great point on the beach--located as it is on a stretch of beach that benefits from ample soft sand even at high tide. The property is one of the first beachhouses along the front, and so it is extremely well located for access to shops, bars, and restaurants (all within a 5-10 minute walk).
We also used the Hull-->Boston ferry multiple times during our stay. This was a real plus for us, and one that we hadn't expected to be as good as it was; the ferry terminal is perhaps 10 minutes drive from the property, and is served by the MBTA Fast Ferry which means about 25 minute journey right into central Boston (which otherwise is perhaps an hour away by car), with many services during the day. This transformed the stay from 'just' a beach vacation to a beach vacation + a city break.
The property itself was modern, fresh, and clean; with the kitchen and bathrooms done to a particularly high standard.
I wouldn't really describe the property as spacious.. somewhere between cosy and compact would probably be more accurate; we were a party of 5 (3 adults + 2 kids) and really felt pretty squashed after a couple of weeks .. I guess this was primarily down to two things: 1) the living space being a kitchen/diner/seating area (with a 4-person sofa) i.e. no separate lounge or dining room, and 2) storage (wardrobes and drawers) being quite limited.
The property doesn't benefit from air conditioning, and as we were there at the height of summer the portable unit that was provided was really nowhere near up to the job; this made for some very uncomfortable nights and left some of the wardrobes with a smell of damp.
The property doesn't have a TV (!!) which caused some consternation with the kids at first, although the WiFi is good, and we soon were not missing the TV at all.
My final remark is that parking is a little tricky at the property--the property does not have its own driveway, being sandwiched between neighbouring properties. There is a reserved space on the street about 30yds away from the property for one car, we had two, and the owner's parents kindly allowed us to park our second vehicle on their driveway during our stay, whilst they were away. Parking would've been very difficult without this; the local police are officious with regards to parking, and dispense tickets like ticker tape!
All-in-all we had a great time, and would certainly come again!
