The old farmhouse is situated nearly at the end of the road at the end of the valley surrounded by forests and alpine meadows under the peaks of the Spanish boarder. The views are breath-taking and the area has endless wonderful walks. The lovingly renovated farmhouse is quite compact and has three floors, with a bedroom and en-suite bathroom on the ground floor, sitting room and kitchen on the middle floor (with access out the backdoor onto the terrace) and another bedroom and bathroom on the top floor. The garden is lovely, with amazing views and the sound of the stream rushing down the mountain. Luentein is actually a hamlet, with a number of houses arranged higgledy piggledy on a steep slope. Erick lives slightly below, and is in the process of renovating the farmhouse above. We absolutely adored our stay here, and the terrace was a perfect place to sit with a glass of wine and a barbeque at the end of long day walking and rest our tired legs and listen to the birds and of course keep an eye out for bears!
