we would like to thank you for the positive feedback that you've submitted and for the suggestion contained in you review.
It's been a real pleasure hosting you.
Really roomy and comfortable, like staying with Grandma!
We were surprised how spacious this apartment really worse period it is very big and a family of five would have no problems staying here for a week or longer.
Yes, the apartment is not as modern as most of the hotels that Americans are used to period but it is definitely an experience of living in a neighborhood with families in Milan. And that is the experience that we weren't looking for.
The kitchen is very large and we were able to cook a lot of meals, store a lot of food in beverages. Very nice size stove and refrigerator.
The closets were very old and the wood had a bit of a smell to it that tended to linger on the clothing. So we kept our clothing outside of the closet for the most part... but other than that every part of the apartment was very functional and pleasant to be around.
You are very close to a lot of shopping areas including a supermarket. You have the Metro right around the corner, and the dog park which also is good for working out and sports. My only advice is to bring some mosquito repellent. The bugs at night were very rowdy!
thank you for the feedback.
We are glad you liked the apartment and felt comfortable while staying with us.
It is one of the nicest areas in Milan, residential, safe, with a lot of green areas, and yet quite convenient for reaching the city center and well connected to all parts of Milan.
A fabulous place to stay!
This apartment met all of our expectations. We were two families [4 adults, one teen, one child] gathering in Milan. Every morning we treated ourselves to pastries from the corner bakery 10 steps from the front door. Next door was a delightful cafe that we patronized once for lunch, and also ordered side dishes from for a dinner party. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, functional. It allowed us to play host to our local Milan friends. The metro stop was a short [5 min] walk, and we were close to a bus line and a major shopping area. We had a choice of small grocery stores within a 10-20 minute walk. A multistory department store is just around the corner. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to eat breakfast and some dinners at "home," saving money and time. It was a great place to return to after a full day of playing tourist in the city, or after a day trip to the lake or a nearby village.
I would stay there again if I am fortunate enough to visit Milan in the future. Our family lived in Milan for a full year back in 2006-7, so we know what a find that apartment is. Did I mention there was an elevator? We had to make two or more trips to get all the luggage and people up, but that is a small price to pay for a wonderful home-away-from-home!
The only down side was a clogged faucet head, and a broken laundry rack. My husband the engineer fixed both problems, but our landlord would have intervened if we had asked. The internet connection met our needs 90% of the time. [Pretty good for Europe! ] The washing machine helped keep us clean, and the light from the windows was wonderful. We happened to be there in the fall when the creeper vine in the courtyard was radiant in all its crimson glory.
TV [cable] was available, but we never turned it on.
Do yourself a favor and get a taste of living like a local. This place is great!
