Great Place to Stay in Florence!
The apartment was more than we ever expected!! Absolutely stunning. The location could not have been more convenient, with many restaurants near by and within walking distance to so many places we wanted to visit. The owner was very helpful in giving us instructions for our arrival, as well as the printed instructions at the apartment with information on everything you could possibly need to know. This was the perfect ending to our Italy vacation. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a centrally located, beautifully decorated, roomy, comfortable apartment in Florence.
Thank you so much Erika for your lovely review, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay and would be delighted to welcome you back to Florence some time in the future.
A wonderful apartment and location
We truly love staying in this apartment. Great location with close walk to all the central attractions. Alberto was very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend this place!
Absolute gem of a property and location .
As shown in the photos, it is a lovely apartment. It is right in the heart of town but on a much quieter side street. The mattresses are a bit on the hard side, but that's a pretty minor critique of an otherwise great space.
Homey apartment ideally located
Wed had a wonderful stay at Alberto’s apartment, which has everything you need, including a nice large tub with plenty of hot water. The apartment is in a quiet little courtyard with two nice restaurants right there, and is within a few blocks of everything important you’ll want to see on a tourists’ agenda. Would stay again. Good job Alberto!
Spotless, comfortable, best location and a lovely owner make for a great Florence experience
We have had our ups and downs with Home Away and AirBnB properties. My point is, don't take my review lightly - I have high expectations that are often not met, but that was not the case here!
This apartment was a gem, as was the owner, Alberto, who could not have been more accommodating. Let's start with the location, overlooking a lovely and pretty quiet (for Santa Croce neighborhood) piazza with some very good restaurants. We were in the heart of the city but without the excessive noise. Everything we needed for our stay within one or two minutes' walking - food, wine, restaurants, shops - and of course sights!! Second, the apartment itself was so functional, clean - newly renovated with good finishes and good water pressure and working appliances - and comfortable. The owners have put in comfortable chairs and sofa, good beds, comfortable dining seating - often not what you get in a rental. The bathrooms were sparkling. Although the apartment was not large, it was really expertly configured into two bedrooms and two baths plus a third full size bed in a loft that was very convenient for our group. Alberto left us coffee, things to cook with like olive oil and salt, and so forth - so very easy to just move right in. There are nice dishes and pots and pans, plenty of cutlery and glasses and coffee cups - again, this seems like something one expects but I am a frequent AirBnB and HomeAway user and, in the immortal words of the Stones, you can't always get what you want.
My goal in life is now to return to Florence for six months (what a city) and stay at Alberto's place.
A few notes: The second bedroom, loft and second bathroom are upstairs. The second full bedroom is plenty big enough, with two twin beds, but it does have a very low hanging beam (very low - maybe 5 feet) that one has to duck under to get into the room. This is a perfect room for kids and was fine for us, but if you are prone to sleepwalking or just stumbling to the bathroom in the middle of the night, this might be a bit treacherous. Also, there are a few steps down to the bathroom from that room. Also, there is a washer/dryer combo machine. We struggled with the drying part of the combo. Eventually our clothes dried, but the extensive instructions notwithstanding, we apparently did not press the right buttons because it took hours. These were our only concerns, and they were minor. The place is great.
