We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mas Pilly. Everything exceeded our expectations and Patricia was incredibly helpful and responsive to our needs. Staying here was a highlight of European holiday.
A wonderful home and location
We loved our stay at Mas Pily. In fact , we found it hard to leave ! It's the perfect, private sanctuary to unwind and enjoy time with family. The pool, the grounds and the interior we enjoyed immensely. Also, being so close to St Remy was marvelous. St Remy is the perfect balance - there were tourists like us there but it did not feel touristy. I recommend this property with the highest rating!
We stayed at Mas Pily with our three children (11, 9 & 4) for two weeks this August. It is a really lovely property. The gardens are gorgeous and very shady during what was a really hot fortnight, the kids loved the pool and the house, overall, is very comfortable and well kitted out with everything you might need. The beds especially are really comfortable with lovely fresh, crisp linen. Plenty of clean towels and lots of pool towels which was great. Only a couple of negatives ... the sofas inside could be more comfortable and the television is not very easy to work. Neither of these were particularly necessary as the outside is so glorious but sometimes with the kids we just wanted to sit down in the evening and watch a movie and it wasn’t very comfortable. Secondly, the road is quite noisy. It didn’t bother us as we’re used to living in a city but may concern some. Otherwise we loved the place and would definitely come again. Patricia is really helpful and so welcoming. She was always available to answer any questions we had. A perfect place for exploring the area where there is so much to see and do.
Lovely stone house with gardens and pool good for hot weather.
The house was charming. Nicely arranged. Lots of amenities. Great for children. It was almost 100 degrees or 37 degrees Celsius while we were there. It was great to have the pool and with the shutters closed the house stayed bearable. The only thing I wish some of the other reviewers would have mentioned was the mosquitoes. We would have brought insect repellent. We did buy mosquito candles, etc but the children were bitten quite a lot. We could have prevented that had we known mosquitos were an issue. Georges has been great and answered all my questions promptly. Patricia couldn't meet us but left the key and communicated by text. She provided lots of suggestions where to visit. With two small children and the heat we preferred to only visit a few and stay at Mas Pily enjoying the pool and gardens. Thank you Georges.
Francis Ann and family were great guests.
Sorry for mosquitos. Until now, we did not have many. Beside of use of candles or repellents, I will check if it is possible to apply specific treatment in the garden. I saw that in Spain.
I’m very happy the family loved the house.
I recommend them and hope to welcome them in the future if they decide to come back in the area.
We had a very good week here, in early May. Weather was a bit too chilly to really enjoy the lovely outdoor spaces, but the fireplace was welcome on cool nights. The kitchen is well-equipped, beds comfortable, plenty of hot water in the baths. The house has the feel of an authentic farmhouse, charmingly upgraded. We would recommend it.
We spent 27 nights in the accommodation which provided adequate comfort for up to 6 people.
The decoration was in keeping with the provencial tradition and the kitchen was well stocked with the necessary equipment for cooking although the dishwasher broke down during our stay.
On the cool evenings we had a fire which gave out a lovely warm glow in the living area and very welcome in adding to the ambiance of our stay.
We had problems with the sewers which backed up on us on a couple of occasions but were dealt with quickly by the owner.
The noise from the main road can be a bit annoying as it is very close to the property and the barking dog next door was an irritant at times.
Patricia who looks after the house was always helpful in attending to any needs we had and Georges always responded quickly to our queries.
On the whole we has a very enjoyable stay helped by very good weather for late March.
The property is good value for money when one compares it with the cost of many properties in the area and we will look back on our stay with fondness.
