Villa Cecilia is on two floors. The main entrance is on the upper floor, which is a square structure with high, beamed ceilings. The entrance is onto a long open-plan living and dining area with in-built seating and large windows and glass doors looking over and leading out to the outdoor areas. At the end of this space, you'll find the practical, well-equipped kitchen, whose French windows lead out to the al fresco dining area. Just next to the kitchen, a corridor leads to three bedrooms (a double, a twin and a single) and two shower rooms. The lower floor, which is accessed via some steps in the garden, has a comfortably furnished living room with fireplace and a double bedroom with en-suite shower room.
Outside: there are three main outdoor areas where you will spend most of your time: a good-sized lawned garden with superb sea views and a tempting pool; a shaded al fresco dining area, served by a barbecue and a work area with sink; and finally a panoramic terrace looking out to sea. The lower floor apartment has its own terrace with a columned portico. Moreover, there are several other spots dotted around the mature, tree-lined grounds where you might take afternoon snooze or do a little holiday reading.
The house was designed by a famous architect in the 70s with a project that still is modern and efficient. Since that time, our parents, and more recently, me and my siblings worked hard to keep this project alive and in perfect state, constantly improving the confort level without altering the original desing philosophy.
