Not What it Seems

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was more than happy with the location.
I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

This review is for the condo only. The resort is clean, absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained. My Vacation Haven's customer service was/is very professional and kind. With that being said, does this condo offer a view of the gulf, yes. If you stand in the far left corner of the living room you can see the gulf. If standing in the kitchen or anywhere else all you see is the building next door or a sand dune. Everyone from the second floor up from the building next door can see into the condo. No privacy at all. We had to keep the bedroom curtains closed the whole time. One sliding door and one window are bolted shut. So, we couldn't even open it. One of the sliding screen doors was leaning against the glass door. The other screen door was so hard to open that it took 2 hands to slide it open. There were several places on the walls that looked like repairs were being made, but were not completed. We didn't have power for 2 days in the spare bedroom, My Vacation Haven had an electrician out to our condo the very next day. Come to find out, it was from a lamp with two exposed wires, which was a fire hazard. The wires were touching which caused the power to short out. There was an odor coming from the master bedroom closet. The odor was from musty, old towels that were left in the hamper from previous guests. I would definitely recommend this property and My Vacation Haven. With all of the issues that we had, My Vacation Haven was wonderful and kind. I would NOT recommend condo 4029.
