Nice decorated apartment, but needs maintenance.
This property is beautifully decorated and has lots of living space. It's situated a little far from the noise and the main town area but only like a 4 minute drive
It needs to be maintained or it will be a damper on the unaware travelers.
The cons that we found to mess up our stay:
*No hot water the first full day & had to take cold cold showers.
*the jacuzzi did not work, could've keep the water in or the heat wouldn't work and the water was like ice. They came 3 times to fix it and it never got to work.
*The air condition did not work in the living room/dining room. We'd have to leave the AC on in the 3 rooms and open the doors to cool the living areas.
*there was a lot of humidity and it smelled throughout the apartment and we'd have to spray air freshener to mask the smell.
*there was only one safe box in one of the 3 rooms and it didn't work/loco as it didn't have batteries and it wasn't bolted down.
*the drinking water was connected to the fridge and didn't work either. So we'd have to flip a 5 gallon water jug to put some water in the fridge.
*there was a wine cooler that also wasn't working, and when they tried to turn it on, it made a noise like a plane was inside the house.
*the extractor or light over the stove didn't work so when you cooked the whole apartment would fill with the smoke from the food.
A plus was that they had 1 or 2 women come from like 9am-11am to clean and be at your disposal. That was very nice. I think that there should be a way of calling them when you want them or come while you're out of the apartment like in hotels. But Fatima & Yokasta were friendly, helpful and very courteous.
The owner, Maria Vittoria was nice and helpful since we booked this property on booking.com but she couldn't accept credit cards there and wanted a cash deposit to a bank so she changed the reservation thru VRBO.com. Although I text and called her about all these problems, she sent the maintenance crew which had no idea of how to fix anything and wasted our time as we had to wait for them to come, wait while they scratched their heads and "try" to fix these issues that most were never resolved. So it was a. It waste of time.
Had we had more time to book, and knew of these issues, we would've booked elsewhere.
This wasn't cheap either, we paid over US$400 per night. I think she should've reimbursed some of the money as these issues spoiled our weekend getaway.
