Great Vacation At Turks
Everything was very good as usual. This was our 4th trip at the same condo. Hope to do it again next year.
Grace Bay Beach is the best in the world!
Royal West Indies Resort Room 123
We couldn't have been happier with our Room, location, resort staff and service, beautiful beach and all their accessories, Pelican Bay restaurant and bar, pool, landscaping, etc., etc. Everything was top-notch. We've been all over the Caribbean and this was probably the best time we had. We can't wait to come back and do it all over again.
Paradise on Grace Bay
Stayed at Royal West Indies for our second visit (2006 & 2019) May 8 - 14, 2019, booking the condo #123 (Building 1, 2nd Story, 3rd/middle room. This condo is the postcard, picture-perfect place, with a view that looks out on the amazing Grace Bay waters! The condo is a studio unit with an amazingly comfortable king-size bed, wonderful linens & towels, couch, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, plates, cups, blender, pretty much everything you need to relax and enjoy your vacation. There is no cooktop or oven, but that is just an incentive to go out and enjoy the wonderful cafes and resturants that Providenciales has to offer. Also, want to mention the balcony of Condo #123, has a great chaise lounger and a table with 4 chairs to enjoy you breakfast outside while taking in the view of Grace Bay, or sipping wine and nibbling on cheese while watching the sun go down.
While Royal West Indies has seven buildings with wonderful staff, pools, bar and restaurant on-site, the location of this unit in building 1 means you are literally just a 30 second walk to dip your toes in the sand and turquoise water of Grace Bay.
I also want to mention the owners on RWI #123, Russ and Dominique, who stay in touch throughout the booking process and prior to your arrival, offer suggestions on activities, rental cars, dining, and coordinate your arrival with their onsite manager, Elaine, who does a fantastic job. She met us on arrival and walked us through the unit making sure everything was satisfactory, gave us her cell number in case we had any questions or concerns and stopped by mid-stay to check on us, change out the laundry and clean the unit, she is a true professional manager, an asset to the team, and a genuinely nice person!
I can't wait to go back to Turks and Caicos for our 3rd trip and will absolutely stay at Royal West Indies in Russ and Doninique's condo #123. Two Thumbs Way Up!!
WOW did we get a room with view
Balcony was great for morning coffee with a postcard view of the Crystal clear turquoise water as far as the eye could see. In the evening the Balcony great for a glass of wine and watching the sunset. And in between just chilling on the beach. We also enjoyed great restaurants nearby and sailing the Hobie Cats at the resort plus a snorkeling trip on the Atabeyra and a kayak eco-tour with Blue Collective. Unit 123 is a perfect spot for a relaxing vacation, clean, well-appointed in a beautifully landscaped resort with a friendly and helpful staff. Elaine was great and Russ gave us many tips to help make our stay a perfect anniversary get away.
When can we go back
Grace Bay Turks & Caicos is an amazing place to stay and you can't get any closer than where this unit is located. Royal West Indies is what we would call a boutique style property consisting of 7 buildings which are each 3 levels. The specific unit 123 is on the 2nd level of the only building located directly on Grace Bay Beach so your view from the unit and deck is completely unobstructed and magnificent. The unit itself is a studio suite perfect for a couple and it has everything you need. We certainly enjoyed the Ninja blender as each morning we made smoothies for breakfast. The bed is comfy, the bathroom is a good size, medium size fridge which is great for an extended stay. For those of you who have not been to Turks & Caicos before the island itself is expensive so plan to pay higher prices given that pretty much everything has to be shipped by boat to the island. Coming from the West Coast of Canada we got some sticker shock with the price of fruits/vegetables, chips/snacks, meat, etc. One suggestion would be to pack items (which are allowed to enter the country) in your luggage such as snacks (ex. chips) if you have the room as it will save you money. A good idea also to bring a small collapsible cooler so you can load up the refreshments and bring them with you to the beach where you more the likely will be spending most of your time (not the pool even though it is nice). We rented a car for the day to check out some other beaches and local restaurants but personally when we do go back (and we will) to Turks & Caicos we will most definitely stay again at Grace Bay as the beach is absolutely spectacular. We would highly recommend staying at this specific unit within the Royal West Indies resort and you will not be disappointed.
