Comfortable and serene getaway
About 10 minutes from downtown, and situated on several acres of rolling hills, Pamela’s family home was a welcome place to rest and revive during our short trip to Butte where we attended our son’s master’s thesis defense. Although we didn’t get the chance to meet, Pamela was quick to reply to our inquiries before and after booking. Her home is spotless and tastefully decorated. Plenty of room to spread out among the four split-levels. A lovely gas stove (we were considering purchasing one just like it a few years back) took the morning chill from the family room equipped with a box of visitor info and shelves stocked with games, books, and jigsaw puzzles. Mattresses in the upstairs bedrooms are firm (which husband prefers); but just soft enough (for wife who prefers much softer). Kitchen has everything we needed. If not brand new, appliances sure looked it. Everything worked smoothly. Lovely deck and yard with a playset for kids. Very quiet except for howls from some coyotes and hoots from a pair of owls our first night. Away from our base, we had time to hike through two (icy) tunnels and cross a 140’ tall trestle along the (trail bike-able) Milwaukee Road trail in nearby Thompson Park and visited the Berkley Pit overlook, Granite Mountain Speculator Mine Memorial, Mt-Tech mineral museum, World Museum of Mining (easily could have spent 3 hrs there- do take the underground tour) in town. Didn’t have time to just stroll along the streets of Uptown to enjoy the amazing detail and bountiful stained glass adorning the 19th and early 20th century homes and buildings (next visit, for sure). Meals at Fred’s, Great Harvest, Vu Villa, and Joe’s Pasties were all very good. A couple other eateries we wanted to visit (Annie’s and Mr Hot Dog) were closed by the time we reached them. We felt exceptionally welcome, Pamela- thanks so much for sharing your home with us!
I am humbled! Joseph and his family were my second guests. I am so happy they enjoyed not just the home, but also the area. There is so much to do.
What I appreciated about Joseph was the communication. I truly want to make my guests stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Having an open line of communication makes that so much more possible.
Thank you to the Spinazola family for helping me to gain confidence in mhy new endeaver.
Beautifully appointed and comfortable!
Our family loved our stay! Pam was so nice and helpful. Her home is lovely, comfortable, clean and beautifully located to take advantage of recreational ops in the area. Elk were bugling, close in, on the first night. Wonderful hospitality and very affordable! We'd definitely like to return for more hiking, rockhounding and skiing. Thank you!
This was a wonderful property, and we truly enjoyed our short stay. Pamela was a great host and very accommodating. The house itself is beautifully decorated and very clean and spacious. It was perfect for my husband and I and our two adult daughters. The first morning we were awakened by elk at the edge of the yard, which was so awesome to see! I would definitely recommend this property!
in years of renting this was the best the host is like part of my family and i cant wait to come back
Wonderful property in a very quiet and spacious setting. Will definitely be back!
This as an awesome property in an awesome town. Butte is a beautiful historic city to visit, and this is a relaxing mountain setting outside of town to stay if you visit. The owner is very kind and is great with communication.
We listened to elk calling all night long.... in June! (for those who don't know, they only do that if they are veeerrrryyy comfortable)
Want to be as happy as the elk? Stay here. You'll be glad you did!
