Evita i problemi di parcheggio o le miglia a piedi sulla spiaggia per raggiungere la spiaggia dei tunnel.

High booking percentage for good reasons

Stacie and I stayed here April 7-9, 2018 and wish that we could have stayed longer even though it (unusually) rained for most of our stay. The rain actually allowed us to enjoy all the little, careful touches that Adam and Kim provide in their vacation rental. We relaxed the most during those two days out of the nine days on Kauai.

Kim and Adam were very attentive to every text and email. They are good people. Don't be intimidated by all the (reasonable) rules to staying at their vacation rental. These rules are all things good vacation renters should be mindful of anyway. The house is self contained with no other rental units as part of the house. The owners live in a separate house. The house is very private even though there are a lot of windows. All the rooms were updated and well appointed like an upper middle class house and everything was in excellent/new condition. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The small field, jungle, mountains, and waterfall views from the back patio were amazing. We walked to Tunnels Beach in the rain and it was an easy 5-minutes to get there. The Napali trail was less than a 5-minute drive.

Overall, we will try to stay with Adam and Kim again. They are an excellent example of the top 1% of vacation rental owners and their vacation rental is very nice.

We finally found Paradise on Kauai

My husband and I have been traveling to Kauai for many many years. We love the north shore's charm and unspoiled authentic Hawaii atmosphere. No high-rises or fast food chains have been allowed to invade this tropical paradise. It was our first stay with Adam and Kim. We are thankful that we discovered Kaiolohia Hale. Their rental is immaculately clean, very tastefully decorated and the beds, linens, etc are top quality. The kitchen is extremely well appointed including espresso maker, burr grinder, waffle maker, rice cooker and almost every kitchen utensil imaginable.

The home backs to majestic views of mountains and a waterfall rising above a tropical jungle. We spent every morning on Lanai enjoying our coffee and listening to the birds while enjoying the spectacular view. The outdoor tub is huge and incredible!!! We both sat comfortably in it sipping wine every evening. There is a hot and cold outdoor shower with views of the mountains and waterfall....all very private. The property is secluded behind a lava rock wall in front and automatic gate. We were given a remote for car and to take to beach.

Our favorite beach is a short walk away. We used the beach cruisers to ride to Kee Beach at end of road to watch sunsets and hike the trail.

We ate at Postcards, Baracuda and Tahiti Nui in Hanalei town which is 10 minutes (6 miles) away. We were disappointed that Sushi Girl was no longer in business as it was one of our favorite places to get sushi.

We were spoiled by all the little extras that Adam and Kim provided and we are already planning our next stay with them. They were respectful of our privacy yet available when we requested "local" information and even show us a "secret" snorkel area that we had never been to in 25+years of traveling to north shore. They even gave us fresh Ono after they returned from a fishing trip!

In prior years, we searched and rented a one bedroom place for the same price as their two bedroom home. It is so nice having the extra space and extra bathroom!!

We are excited to return to "our new home" on the north shore!

Aloha?

The Good: As far as the accommodations are concerned, we agree with all the 5-star reviews on the site.

The Bad: Well, weird. We read over the reservation contract when we booked the unit in August for our stay the following April. The language seemed harsh and unwelcoming, but since we were going to comply anyway, we ignored it.

The four of us are ~70, retired, and often travel together. We have stayed in over 20 VRBO rentals, and always treat the places we stay as if they are ours. A few weeks before our stay we received a list of house rules and, yes, penalties, that were far beyond anything we had ever seen from places we rented. Again, we didn’t feel that any of this would affect us, but as a long-term resident of Hawaii, this didn’t seem like “aloha.”

The Ugly: On the day before we checked out, we rented a second car for logistical reasons. We returned and parked both cars in the space provided.

Within minutes, we got this voice mail: “Uh, Mike, the other vehicle and the other people that are at our house currently, that you’re renting, it’s for guests only, need to be removed from the property immediately. You cannot have additional people at our home, per the contract. If they’re not gone in the next 5 minutes we will not refund your deposit.”

Then a similar text message. A return call to Adam straightened it out, but we were taken aback by the assumption that we were violating the rules of the house, and were made to feel like we were back in middle school passing notes in class.

The next morning we straightened the house, left laundry as per instructions, and were packing the car to leave, when Adam and Kim emerged to help load the car. We exchanged pleasantries, but were not particularly engaging.

A few hours later we received an email indicating that we had spilled wine on the rug and couch, followed by an email indicating that our security deposit would not be refunded.

We were absolutely astounded at the message, since we had not spilled any wine whatsoever, anywhere in the house. We felt at this point that we didn’t want to deal with the owners, but contacted VRBO to lodge a complaint.

As of this writing, that’s where it stands. Unfortunately, shortly after our stay the communities on the north shore of Kauai were subject to historic flooding and damage, and it will be months if not years before the area is back to normal. Our hearts go out to the people who live and work there, including Adam and Kim.

The people and the property of the north shore will not be affected for long by the historical rainfall that has taken place. Our community is hardworking, honest and full of Aloha spirit! We strive to make our house rules and rental agreement specific and clear so there is no misunderstanding of the property’s intended use. You waited to write your revengeful review almost a month after your stay, based upon the outcome of your damage deposit refund status. Your constant excessive intoxication throughout your stay caused thousands of dollars in damages to our rental home. We did submit all the proper paperwork, and photographs to VRBO, along with a letter from the guests prior to your stay stating the condition of the home and the furnishings. On the day of your check out, since you were still with family on island (again the neighbors notified us that additional guests had entered our property the night prior to your check out, and we won’t even go into that) we offered for you to come by to inspect the damages yourself. Instead of choosing to meet at the property to view the damages with us, you chose to send us a threatening email. We wish there were better systems in place to warn other homeowners that might consider renting to you in the future. We have personally invested a tremendous amount of time and money in our property, so our guests can enjoy the north shore with high quality furnishings and amenities. Karma has its way of getting even with the bad seeds in the world. We will continue to share our home with wonderful travelers so they may experience the beauty and tranquility of Kauai. We are grateful that we have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people that have enjoyed our home, hospitality and have become our lifetime friends! We are saddened to know that you have zero regard for anyone’s property and assume no responsibility for your actions. Mahalo ~Adam & Kim

AMAZING

Everything We Hoped For And More!

We really hoped this sweet house would be just as good as the pictures......it was better. The house was lovely, well equipped and the personal touches by Kim and Adam were so thoughtful and kind. The lanai was well used by us (it rained a bit 😂?) but we truly used the back lanai more than any other spot in the house. The views of the mountains and waterfall were to die for and the added addition of visiting cows was lovely. We seriously had some wet weather but this cute house and back lanai made it a non issue.

The kitchen has everything you need. Washer and dryer was a serious bonus so pack light. Two bathrooms that are identical was very nice and bathtub outside was a fun addition. The house and grounds feel safe. The entrance is gated. We slept with doors open and enjoyed the breezes.

Best of all .......our hosts ❤️. They were very helpful and kind and full of great information and suggestions. Kim baked for us.....I need that recipe. We used their suggestions for dining out and they were right every time. Truly two lovely people that clearly love what they are doing.

On a scale of one to ten, you can rest assured this is a ten.

I highly recommend this VBRO if you want the peace and quiet of the north shore and the availability to walk to beautiful beaches. Leave your car at home and go snorkel, bike ride or just sit on the lanai and soak up the views.

Very comfortable house in a stunning location

We had an eventful stay in this wonderful house. Our hosts Adam and Kim were full of local information and the property was well equipped and in a perfect location close to beaches and the Na Pali coast, we saw so much wildlife including the endangered monk seals and several green turtles whilst snorkelling at Anini Beach. Whilst we were staying the torrential rain caused a landslide on the road which meant we were completely cut off from any shops. Kim was fabulous, she kept us up to date with the state of the road, when it would open again and as we were very low on food she also cooked us a pasta bake and made sure we had all we needed. I have no hesitation in recommending this house and it's hosts, thank you Adam & Kim we had a wonderful 10 days in Haena.
