Great spot to get away from everything
Very communicative owner and property manager. House was well situated for our needs. Pleasant home. Relaxing surroundings. Thank you!
The house is beautiful and had everything we could have asked for (except a DVD player). The kitchen was more than sufficient and we had plenty of space to relax and play with our kids. Thank you for a wonderful getaway!
Beautiful house & very spacious.
Perfect setting for a girls weekend. Close to downtown Saratoga & Schuylerville. Lots to do. Or just settle in by the gas fireplace & enjoy each other's company. Very comfortable & clean home. We will be back!
Josh and ken was always there for us the house was nice and clean ready to go back
Beautiful and cozy home close to downtown Saratoga Springs
We had a wonderful stay at Josh’s home in Schuylerville over the Christmas holidays. The property manager, Ken, was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. It snowed the night before we arrived (Christmas Eve). Ken came to the house on Christmas Day and plowed and salted the driveway so we could easily get into the house. When we arrived, there was a fire in the fireplace and there was a gift certificate for us to use at the deli down the street. Incredible hospitality! This three bedroom, three bath house was perfect for a big family gathering (we hosted a dinner for 15 family members and had plenty of room for everyone to mingle and socialize).
The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, condiments and spices. As this is an older house, the lighting was a bit poor so it is a little difficult to prepare food in the kitchen at night. The living room was a great space with a big coffee table which we used for board games. The couches are older, however, and a bit uncomfortable. We enjoyed the steam room in the basement! FYI, it takes about 5 mins to heat up and start running. Plenty of seating and space in the basement, as well as another TV and more board games. There are tons of books throughout the house, available for you to read while you cozy up in pajamas with hot cocoa by the fire. The outdoor space would be perfect any other time of year...however we didn’t use it, as it was very chilly when we stayed (temps in the negative degrees!).
Location is perfect - about 10-15 mins from downtown Saratoga Springs, about 30 minutes from downtown Troy, an hour from Hoosick Falls/Petersburg. We really loved our stay here and would definitely book it again!
Clean, comfortable and cozy, close to everything, house had everything we needed, owner responsive
The location was great, close enough to downtown Saratoga, without the crowds or prices. Quiet neighborhood, wooded buffer in backyard, bird feeders were a delight over morning coffee in the breakfast nook. House had a lived in charm, exactly what I was looking for. The master bed was comfortable and a big closet we tucked our suitcases into, the bathroom had a whirlpool tub (wasn’t working at the time) and a separate shower. The two other bedrooms were located on the other side of the house which was a nice separation. Those rooms shared a shower/bath etc. the living room had two smaller couches (loveseats) and we did have to bring a chair or two over to enjoy the gas fireplace together, a very large coffee table was great for playing cards, board games etc. the living room comfortably seats 4 adults. The dining room table was smallish but we made it work fine for 7 adults and one baby for a Thanksgiving dinner. I am sure in the warmer months outside by the pool and the screened in porch would work perfectly. It really was a perfect space to host an intimate dinner. Downstairs had a steam room/shower that everyone seemed to enjoy, downstairs had a very large open area,, t.v. Etc I am sure kids would love the space, if there was a couch, I might have escaped down there too. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, cooking supplies, plates, mugs etc fridge was a nice size, dishwasher, coffeepot etc. the welcome book explained everything which was nice and the property manager left his card, if we needed any help with anything (we didn’t, but it was nice to have a go to person close by) the washer and dryer are a stacked unit but a very nice size right off the master. The house had a few basic cleaning products, vacuum, broom, dustpan which was nice to do a quick go through. We really enjoyed our stay and again Josh was easy to communicate with. I will definitely keep the place in mind in the future.
