A lovely villa ! Amazing views
Arriving at this villa myself and the family were delighted the photos really don’t do it justice ! We had a super week the neighbours were really friendly without being at all intrusive the views and the pool are picture perfect ! Inside the villa was clean and spacious all you need to unwind . Great local tavernas that are a must are Enastron , La mar, and Klimatis !!
Villa Iremia is a beautiful place to stay - stunning views of the mountains to the rear, and the sea to the front. We found the villa immaculately clean and well equipped, and within easy reach of some excellent restaurants - our favourites were Andromeda, Olive Lounge and Magic Hill - and Klimatis and Lourdas Mare on the beachfront are well worth a visit too. The beach itself is lovely for an early.mornimg dip, and the pool at the villa was a godsend. The neighbours adorable kitten came to visit on the first evening and every day thereafter - we all loved her - and the neighbours are very friendly too!
The bedrooms are air conditioned which meant that we all slept really well despite the heat, and the villa is cleaned and bed linen changed regularly which is a nice touch (and quite different to what we have come to expect when renting in France and Spain for instance).
My husband managed to drive to the top of the mountain which is approx one mile high and the views were spectacular. We also visited Sami and Assos, both of which are beautiful, as well as Myrtos Beach, Skala and the Drogerati cave which is well worth a visit. We took a boat trip to Zakynthos from Poros and visited the blue caves and the famous "Shipwreck Beach" (which looks quite different from the photos as it gets very busy with boats arriving and dispatching visitors every 5 minutes). Argostoli (the capital and the location of the airport) is about 20 minutes away and is quite pretty - the Italian war memorial just outside the town is peaceful and poignant.
All in all a terrific experience and we can't wait to go back.
Good evening Tina,
Thank you for your review of Villa Iremia, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and it sounds like you have had a fun packed holiday. We love the location of the villa and agree the views are amazing. Kefalonia is a beautiful island and we hope that you have the opportunity to return soon and thank you for your kind review,

Villa with amazing views
The villa is up one of the numerous narrow steep roads in Kefalonia. I think it is worth mentioning that the drive is very narrow to turn into and we were pleased that we had a small car. However being up a hill, meant the views were gorgeous; sea and Zante to the front and mountains to the rear. The outside space is good with plenty of seating and parasols, and the pool was very clean. While there are other villas nearby, it has been well designed and you are not overlooked.
We are a family of 4 and the size of the villa was good for us, however it may be a bit small for 6 as the bedrooms are fairly compact. The Villa was very clean although in my opinion it is a little dated in the kitchen area. The local Villa manager and his wife were very friendly and extremely helpful during our stay.
Lovely villa, quiet resort with lots of lovely restaurants
We had a lovely 2 weeks in this villa which was clean and comfortable. The area around the pool is beautiful but be prepared for constant wasps! We felt the bedroom downstairs is too small for 2 adults sharing my mum and mum in law were in there and even with the beds nearly together they couldn’t open the wardrobe or the patio door - luckily they weren’t paying so didn’t complain. Would be fine for 2 small children. Resort is quiet with lovely restaurants and the beach is perfect. We went to Argostoli and went on boat trip with the queen bee which was fantastic - big lunch and wine/ soft drinks provided throughout the day. Even delivered frappe on the beach! Would recommend all good except for bedroom as mentioned.
Beautiful villa with amazing views
Enjoyed our stay in Lourdas the weather could not have been better.Spent a few days on the beach not over crowded and the sea was warm and quite calm. Plenty of outdoor space at the villa but needed more shade pool good to cool down in.Some very good restaurants around the area but need a torch if walking as some parts have no lighting.Did not hire a car as just wanted to chill and this villa was perfect for that. The only minus was the hill to villa was quite steep but needed it to walk off the delicious food. There was also a bus which took you to the beach.Would love to visit Kefalonia again.
We would definitely give this villa 5 stars . It was in a lovely location ( the roads getting to it were a bit bumpy though) but when you got there it was fabulous. Lucky for us the weather was still lovely and warm in October even if a little chilly in the evening. We spent a fair bit of time lazing at the villa by the pool . As it was October some of the restaurants were closed but there were still plenty to choose from. Our favourites were Lorraine's on the hill and Klimitas by the beach . We can also highly recommend Spiros in Lourdes village . For supermarkets Maria's in the village sells everything ( even gluten free ! ) . We had a lovely day out in Argostoli and a lovely lunch in the square . We didn't manage to get in a boat trip as they had finished at the end of September. We wouldn't hesitate to book this villa again and we are already looking forward to coming back !
Firstly we are pleased that you enjoyed Villa Iremia, the views and location are wonderful. We love October as the weather is still hot and there is plenty of restaurants open,
We hope you get the opportunity to visit the island again and thank you for your kind review,.
