My husband and I visited Rome for a week with two friends of ours; this flat was perfect! Not only did we have plenty of space for four people, but the location was ideal. We were easy walking distance to everything we wanted to visit and were serenaded by the sounds of the fountain whenever we stayed in. If you are a light sleeper, you should know that the piazza stays rowdy pretty late, but for us it was no problem.
The beds were very comfortable and the shower spacious enough for my husband (who is 6'2"). The kitchen was perfect to cook light meals and store plenty of wine :)
Filippo is wonderful to work with and arranged all of our airport transportation for us. The trip could not have been better!
Our family of four (two adults, two kids age 10 & 8) had a fantastic stay with Filippo! We visited in March. Filippo helped arrange an airport pick up for us (which was such a luxury after a long flight). The weather was gorgeous and we enjoyed the two small balconies overlooking the fountain immensely! We not only go to watch the tourists, the Instagramers, and newly wed couples all straining to get the perfect pictures - we got to watch the workers "sweep" up all the coins in the fountain early in the a.m. The kids loved that!
The kitchen, complete with Nespresso machine, was just adequate for simple breakfasts (which is all we really used it for). The showers were lovely - never ran out of hot water or water pressure. There was ample space in the two bedrooms to put our things away in the closets. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of bedding if we got cold.
The only two complaints we had were small ones: the pillows were very thin (the kids didn't seem to notice this however), and the crowds from the fountain on a Friday and Saturday night were rather noisy in the front bedroom. The other two sleeping areas didn't seem to be bothered by the noise at all, and to be fair... not much to be done about it. The crowds seemed to dissipate by 1-2 a.m.
It's close to MANY tourist attractions, shopping areas and restaurants. There is a taxi stand just on the corner, and when we used our app to call one we never waited more than 2 minutes.
When it was time to say Arrivederci, Filippo was gracious enough to hold our bags in his apartment (across the hall) until it was time for us to go to the train station.
We had a lovely time in Rome, and were so happy to have this great apartment as our home base during our stay. Grazie mille, Filippo!!
Wonderful Holiday Vacation
My son and I spent Christmas and New Year’s in this lovely spot. The location could not be better: right smack in the middle of everything. We were able to walk just about everywhere, including daily morning treks to the colosseum and forum areas (spectacular in the early light). We packed light and ran over to the laundromat a few short blocks away, very easy. The crowd at the fountain can be noisy, but the windows do a good job of keeping out the worst of the clamor. Filippo is a great host! We had everything we needed for our stay, including lots of extra comfortable blankets and big, thick towels that hung on warmers when not in use. We highly recommend this apartment for couples or families.
Cozy, charming apartment; great location and view!
The apartment was spacious yet cozy, and in a great location. It was also very clean. The windows did a surprisingly good job of cutting the din of the crowds of people below. (The fountain piazza is jam-packed with people from about 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM.)
Filippo is an excellent host and even carried my large, heavy suitcase up to the 4th floor for me! He lives In the same building so it’s very convenient if you should need anything.
We would certainly stay here again.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Filippos rental space . The view from the balconies overlooking the fountain are amazing. When first arriving I was worried the sound from the fountain would be too loud , I was wrong ! Whenever the doors are shut we couldn’t hear a thing . Filippo was such a nice and welcoming host and the space had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable . The space is in the perfect location for visiting the top spots during the day . Definitely recommend this space to anyone thinking of visiting Rome !
Filippo is a fantastic host. We recommend you let him arrange airport transportation to the apartment if you are flying into Rome. The location of the apartment is incredible. Right on top of the Trevi Fountain, steps from The Pantheon and other major sights. You should be prepared for the steps to the apartment, and the crowds that gather at the fountain. The apartment is fairly quiet with the windows closed.
