Sul retro della casa ci sono tutte le finestre che si aprono sul ponte e sulla foresta. 2 camere da letto con soppalco aperto per 3a camera da letto, con 2 bagni. Può ospitare 6 persone ma è aperto a un gruppo più numeroso. Ha elettrodomestici moderni tra cui frigorifero sotto zero, lavastoviglie, lavatrice / asciugatrice, internet ad alta velocità. Cucina aperta, ideale per intrattenere con un grande tavolo che può ospitare 20. Al piano inferiore doccia chiusa con vasca / doccia a mano al piano superiore. Tranquilla foresta circostante con alcuni sentieri e strade di campagna per passeggiare. Vicino a tutti i laghi, ai sentieri, alle arti e alla vita di campagna del Berkshire. 20 minuti da tutti gli acquisti.

Wooded, remote and cozy

We really enjoyed staying in this warm and relaxing space. It was the end of winter and we had lovely walks both out back and at the historic properties 20 min away. Nice, cozy/romantic place, equipped with plenty of good music, books and games, comfortable beds and fine bathrooms/kitchen.

AMAZING Getaway

This house was incredible - off the beaten path and very private - we felt like the only ones there. The house was impeccable, had everything we needed for the few day's stay, and was just the right size for our family of 5. The owner was very responsive and even offered for us to stay past sign out time when a freezing rain storm hit the night before we were planning to leave. This was our favorite VRBO yet

Perfect

I can't say enough about the Swiss Chalet in The Berkshires. It was beautiful and abundantly appointed. I stayed there with two of my lifelong friends, and each one of us had the same positive reaction - it just made you feel good. The remote & quiet location was just what we needed to decompress, but getting to Pittsfield and area attractions was an easy drive. I would stay again in a heart beat! Thank you!

Perfect times in Peru!

Laura's terrific timber frame home was the perfect early March reset that my family needed! Coming from Albany, NY; Peru was a perfect halfway point enroute to a conference that we were attending in Amherst. The home was cozy, well appointed, and had eclectic decor. Even though it has a small footprint, it felt spacious. With March weather being unpredictable, we had an outside fire one evening and snow the next. It made the forest surrounding the property look absolutely enchanting! Many thanks for a wonderful getaway!

We loved it. Very clean, large, great for our 2-year old to explore and run around. A beautiful stream in the back. Laura was helpful and flexible. Everything was well stocked.

My husband and I built this house ten years ago. Much of the finishing materials and many of the fixtures were recycled from many NYC condo renovations since we are in the construction business. The house is a work in progress- this year we plan to work the grounds with blueberry bushes and more trails through the forest along the creek.

The best part about this location is the quiet peaceful location. It is near the country towns ('hilltowns') where there are many small farms and artisans. And it is in the Berkshires with all the cultural activities they have to offer. We find it is an oasis for our family compared to the city life we lead. Now that our daughters are grown, I find it was helpful for them to have known a different style of life our life Brooklyn.

My first idea about building this house was it would be similar to camping in comfort.
The timber frame of the house was designed and built by a Swiss Company in British Columbia, Canada. The timbers are from douglas fir trees. At the time it was one of 3 built with the same design. The same company also built many Chalets in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
