Lupi, orsi, alci ed alci abbondano nella nostra zona di Yellowstone e Beartooth Mountains. Ci sono splendide viste sulle montagne dal ponte posteriore e finestre anteriori. Alcuni dei migliori pescatori di trote selvatiche al mondo sono a pochi minuti da casa. Questi includono il fiume Yellowstone, il fiume Lamar, Slough Creek, Soda Butte Creek e la Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone. Questo è solo un affitto estivo!

Una fantastica giornata in famiglia può essere trascorsa visitando le famose caratteristiche di Yellowstone o facendo una gita di un giorno a Cody, WY per vedere il Wild Bill Cody Museum, un grnuine rodeo ogni sera, uno scontro a fuoco all'originale Irma Hotel, buon cibo e molti negozi compreso il Sierra Outlet. Il periodo migliore per osservare gli animali è giugno e l'inizio di luglio, mentre il periodo migliore per la pesca va da metà luglio a settembre. L'escursionismo è favoloso in qualsiasi momento.

La casa è pulita, spaziosa e confortevole, con una grande sala e camino, cucina moderna e lavanderia con mezzo bagno al primo piano. Il secondo piano ha due camere da letto molto grandi: una con tre letti singoli e l'altra un letto matrimoniale e uno singolo. Questa sistemazione può ospitare una famiglia di sei o 5 singoli. Anche un bagno completo recentemente ristrutturato al piano superiore.

All'esterno c'è un ponte posteriore con splendide gare di montagna così vicine che ti senti di poter raggiungere e toccarle. C'è una griglia e mobili da giardino per mangiare all'aperto. C'è anche un ruscello molto piccolo nel cortile che contiene alcune trote native Yellowth Cutthroat. Cortile molto privato.

The. Best. Ever!

Marcia's home in Silver Gate was absolutely the best. The photos do not do it justice. It is quite spacious with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the beautiful views out every window. Her home has everything anyone could need with a kitchen stocked better than my own. New sofa and chairs that are perfect for relaxing and reading. The beds are super comfortable (new mattresses I believe Marcia said). The bathroom is spacious with great counter space - hard to find that! Hot water seemed endless. Water pressure great. Refrigerator is new and huge (good for holding my 30 days of meals). Wifi never faltered. Sitting out back under the mountains is so peaceful. Easy in and out. I loved the individual bedroom/bathroom heaters that work quickly and efficiently, and I could set them how I wanted the rooms warmed. I could walk to anywhere in Silver Gate. And Marcia is the ultimate hostess! She is so knowledgeable about everything in the area. Ask her anything. I recommend this home as highly as I possibly can.

Perfect home base for NE Yellowstone adventures

This home in Silver Gate was a perfect base for our family to explore Yellowstone from the Northeast entrance. Marcia is a very gracious host & met us at check in to go over the home & how everything worked. She made great recommendations on things to do both inside & outside the park. It was an amazing trip that our family will not forget. We loved it!!

Beautiful home Amazing experience

After talking about taking my kids to Yellowstone for many many years I don't think I could've found a better place to stay. The home itself has an amazing feel to it and outback you get an amazing view with the sounds of a crystal clear creek runs through the yard.Marcia herself is an absolute treat. She was extremely kind and helpful and even gave the kids going away geodes because she's just that sweet. Great home and a great person behind it

Excellent property and wonderful host!

We loved our stay in the cabin! There are 6 of us in the family and there was plenty of space to enjoy ourselves when we were not out exploring Yellowstone. Marcia was a wonderful host and had lots of great tips and recommendations for us and even lots of communication prior to arriving too. Our trip to Yellowstone was supposed to happen last year, but because of the flooding, we rebooked with Marcia for this year and so glad we did. It was fun exploring both Silver gate and Cooke City when were weren't in YNP. We loved that the entrance was so close and driving through the Lamar Valley to see all the wildlife was fantastic! Highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed.

My winter home is in VA, but Silver Gate/Cooke City has been my summer home for over 30 years. I will be glad to answer all your questions about nearly everything in the NW Yellowstone area; from where to go for wildlife viewing, where to fish, point you to horseback riding, and also info about Cody's museum and nightly rodeo.
Personally, I am a retired teacher and a life member of Trout Unlimited, and have received numerous awards from that organization. I currently write land and wildlife conservation articles, especially fly fishing and water conservation.

I even have had an article on Yellowstone Cutthroat trout printed in Fly Fisherman Magazine.

We are 20 minutes from the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone which showcases wolves, grizzly bears elk, deer, and many others depending on your interests and time of year and time of day to view them. This area is considered the best animal viewing in the Park often called the Serengeti of N. America.

Hiking in our area can be a wonderful family hike to Trout Lake which is than a mile long and takes you to a large lake with a walking trail around it, and besides getting to see huge trout there are also otters in the area as well.

The Cooke City/Silver Gate community is small and very friendly. We have a local non-Denominational Christian Church nearby, an ice cream/ gift shop, a small store that rents spotting scopes, and a family friendly Bar which closes at 10pm.

Our house is an insulated year-round home, but we are only a summer rental. June and September can have chilly nights and the house is warm and cozy no matter the weather. It also has been recently renovated with new laminate in the downstairs Great Room, and new upstairs carpet. Also, a new modern range top and full size washer and dryer. We are one of the closest residences to Yellowstone National Park in any of the gateway communities. In two minutes you can be at the NE gate. The Lamar Valley is 20 minutes and has the best wildlife viewing in the Park for wolves, bears, and bison. We also have nearby hike into the Beartooth mountains, and local walks to waterfalls and the Absaroka Wilderness Area are just around the corner.
