Jellyfish Cottage - Tramonti spettacolari sulla baia di Chesapeake

Situato sul lato della baia di Chesapeake, sull'isola di Tilghman, questo bellissimo cottage a due piani con tre camere da letto è disponibile per l'affitto tutto l'anno. Le nostre case hanno una vista mozzafiato sulla baia dalle camere da letto al secondo piano - e balcone e / o terrazza privati. Ci sono pavimenti in legno, una cucina a servizio completo con lavastoviglie e forno a microonde e grill a gas all'aperto. Goditi l'uso dei 3 dock condivisi, trappole per granchi, la Crab Shack (con stufa a legna, piccolo frigorifero per bevande, lettore CD / radio e lettore DVD) e una pergola con 4 posti a sedere. I tramonti abbaglianti sulla baia sono straordinari come se fossero coreografati solo per noi. I chiacchieroni chiacchieroni sono affascinanti da guardare e riceviamo visite quotidiane da una vasta gamma di uccelli, oche migranti, anatre (e anatroccoli), falco pescatore e l'aquila calva occasionale. Questa è la vacanza romantica perfetta. Una lunga pista ciclabile (la nuova Michener Byway) si estende da Tilghman a St. Michaels e fuori a Oxford tramite il traghetto Belleview / Oxford. Siamo a pochi minuti (a piedi) da ristoranti di classe mondiale, kayak, pesca, tour skipjack, storico St. Michaels e negozi di antiquariato.

Horrible homeowner

The homeowner’s attitude was EXTREMELY unprofessional, cruel, and she had no respect for us as clients. No one in the group enjoyed the experience because of Jacque. In fact, we left a day early because of her verbal abuse, which ruined our whole vacation. My family and I would NEVER rent any property from her again and perhaps not thru vrbo either.

Easy, comfortable stay

Was in Tilghman for a Family wedding at Wylder. The property was perfectly situated for the wedding events yet in a quiet area with low to no traffic. The property had all we needed, and candles just in case of power outage from Ophelia. Should we find ourselves on the island again, we will come back. I tend to over communicate, so Patrick and Jackie were great communicators and always willing to answer our questions. Thanks for a lovely stay!

This was a wonderful property that we all enjoyed. My kids loved fishing off the dock and checking the crab pots and our crab dinner in the shack was fun and memorable. We’ll definitely return!

Lovely Stay on Tighlman Island

Comfortable home right on the water! Host was very nice, provided everything we needed and checked in on us. Close to restaurants and St. Michael's shops, about an hour from Annapolis.

Great stay for IM Maryland

The views from Jellyfish Cottage, particularly sunset are quite stunning. That being said, the back of the house (shown in the picture) is all windows to enjoy the view so expect to wear your sunglasses indoors in the evening. We had a bit of trouble finding the place since we arrived after dark (and it is very very dark). This is due to all of the lights being turned out since this is a major bird migration route. Those two things aside our stay was quite lovely and relaxing. The drive to Cambridge for the race and activities was about 50 minutes, so we just planned accordingly.

We arrived in Tilghman Island in 1996 in search of a watermen community much like that of Half Moon Bay (CA) from where we came. We have spent the last 15+ years developing Tilghman Landing into a Chesapeake Bay retreat that we love to share. In addition to building our waterfront cottages, we spend our time fishing, crabbing, boating and enjoying the beauty of our Bay-side retreat. Our cottages are open and airy – with ceiling fans throughout and a nice almost constant breeze blowing across the Bay. We have a hammock and beach chairs available for watching the evening sunset. The property is private, quiet and perfect for a romantic getaway or family get together.

Tilghman Island is the East Coast version of Half Moon Bay, California with its colorful history, abundant seafood throughout the seasons (fish, crabs and oysters), maritime activities (boating, kayaking, fishing, jet skiing) and California Sunsets over the Bay. We are also about a mile from Poplar Island (directly off our pier) where a successful restoration effort led by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has returned the island to 1,140 acres. When work on Poplar Island is complete the island will be a maze of smaller islands, ponds, channels and marshes. Ospreys, egrets, terns, herons, eagles, double-breasted cormorants, black ducks and other wild fowl have already discovered an enlarged Poplar Island – a true bird-watching opportunity. We are located about 2 hours from Baltimore, Washington DC and Philadelphia, PA. Our guests come from all over the world to experience all that the Chesapeake Bay has to offer.

Our cottage is very private at the end of a quiet dead-end road. Our guests often set up bocce ball and volleyball nets and we have a horseshoe pit for some friendly competition. On Saturday night, depending upon the season, we will often cater a Crab or Oyster Feast in the Crab Shack for our guests who want this Maryland Eastern Shore experience. There are year-round festivals and holiday events, an extensive bike trail, world class restaurants, shopping and cultural centers – Tilghman Watermen Museum, Philips Wharf Environmental Center and St. Michael’s Maritime Museum. The Lady Patty, one of the last remaining sailing skipjacks is available for a sunset or daytime sail – within walking distance of our cottages. We have 2 docks that are perfect for sunbathing, crabbing, fishing or just enjoying a glass of wine while watching the amazing sunset. We live on the property and are therefore available to assist with special requests.
