Communication with the property owner was not bad before we started our trip., and she made it sound very nice. When we arrived at the property we could not believe what we walked into! I have never seen anything so unliveable in my entire life time and I am a 67 year old retired person. The health and safety communication would have very serious concerns with this property. The floors were broken and Protruding up which I tripped over, filthy and rat droppings all over, dead bugs on the floor, the bedding was used and dirty, the door to the backyard was boarded with a hand written sign that said enter the backyard at your own risk, the fence was falling over and the fishing dock was broken and half falling in the water. There is a bullet hole in the glass window which was tapped along the cracks, the closets were absolutely disgusting with Rodent droppings. We found mild. There is no way I could stay at this place with my daughter and granddaughter, and we left. We contacted the owner with our complaint and asked for a refund and I would pay for the check in day, and she flatly refused any cooperation and said she has changed the security lock on the door so we could not enter and said do not contact her any further. So we found a hotel and the added expense was difficult. I filed a formal complaint with vrbo and seem to be getting nowhere regarding the misleading advertisement of this property. My case number is 23635311. This is Terribly wrong that this property owner can get away with false advertising and take the money of unsuspecting people looking to have a nice vacation, but can not stay under the horrible disgusting conditions of this property.
You went over and beyond to leave a false statement against my property as your “Initial” Complaint was that “Your daughter’s coach “Insisted” that you stayed with them, after you had already checked in which you tried to lie to Vbro during your complaint which was faulty and “Bias” as you were upset that you couldn’t get your refund because you tried to cancel your reservation “THE DAY OF” after checking in! (Which my ADT system captures a picture of you when you disarm the system) 👀� Furthermore you made a complaint to Vbro in which I screen shot our conversation of your “Initial” complaint! And The case was closed due to your inconsistencies with your statement!! 🗣�🗣�🗣�🗣� Also! The back door wasn’t boarded up as I said there is a Dog opening at the bottom of the Back door Patio which had to be secured so stray dogs, Or other wild life animals couldn’t get in the home from the dog opening. Before you, I had 2 other prior guests who left me two 5 Star reviews!! And were totally Satisfied with my property as the pics are honest and true! You said I advertised swimming and you couldn’t clearly read it was stated to be “Offsite” at the Ocmulgee River as my property only accommodates “Fishing” & BBQ’ing. You tried to Report me to Vbro and when I showed them your inconsistencies in your statements you lost the case and weren’t granted a refund due to untimely cancellation, false statements in which I handed over receipts, and the case was closed!! My account was left in “Good Standing” This is a case of someone who didn’t plan their trip correctly, found somewhere to stay for free instead, and then decided to make bias statements when you didn’t get your refund, I like to thank Vbro for investigating this matter throughly and made their decision to close this case based upon your Falty and bias Statements. So after you lost your case you decided to rant on my reviews! Regardless to what, I was vindicated by Vbro and Thank you for choosing “Red Door Rentals” FYI in the future please try to plan your stay correctly and remain consistent with your Statements. 3 week moving stay
Our family stayed at the Red Door between moves waiting on our new house. It was roomy and our pets were welcome too. The fact that we could all bring our pets gave us great relief.
Donna made sure we were comfortable and told us anything we needed don't hesitate to let her know.
