Costanza Piccolomini d'Aragona, discendente della storica famiglia Piccolomini, che ha dato i natali al papa Pio II, Enea Silvio Piccolomini
We stayed for 5 nights in April. The apartment is huge and well equipped with everything you need. Constanza was always available to answer questions and extremely helpful. Be aware there are two flights of stairs if mobility is an issue. It's in a fantastic location. Walking distance to all of the main sites, grocery stores, restaurants and the bus station. Would definitely book here again
Très bon accueil et appartement confortable dans le centre historique. Proximité de la gare des bus et de tous les commerces.
I have rented many apartments in Europe, and this is now a favorite. It is perfectly located in the historic center. My preference is a full kitchen, as I like to cook. Plus, it has table seating for six, for guests. Many excellent places to buy produce, meats, wine, and desserts just a few minutes from the front entrance. And owner and host Costanza conducts cooking classes in her unique period space with exquisite Italian decor and ceramics (I wanted to buy the entire set); and she will customize a master course, if you desire it. I was working during the entire trip, and the internet reliability was critical, as I work with students all over the globe. She installed a robust modem, and I never had a call drop! The apt. had all the amenities for very comfortable living in an amazing historic building, with a gracious and truly helpful owner/host. I shall return.
We loved the apartment of Costanza Piccolomini d'Aragona, who is a wonderful host and person. We were made to feel right at home. The apartment is large, yet cozy with furnishings. The bedroom is quite large, with a very comfortable bed (that we hated to leave). The apartment had everything we needed for our stay, including plenty of kitchen equipment since I was cooking often for my very picky (eating) child. We felt very safe and secure and were in a perfect location for walking all about Siena. The grocery store, fruit and vegetable market, and other shops and restaurants were all very close by and convenient. Also the bus station is an easy walk if you should want to take a day trip to a nearby town.
Ms. Piccolomini welcomed us and let us know how everything worked. She was always available if needed. Since we were staying over the holiday, she had put up a little tree for us, decorated the fireplace and even left out a stocking for my daughter, which made us both very happy. We hated to leave and were sad for a day or so as we missed our "home in Siena". I hope to return again and next time I definitely want to sign up for her cooking class!
Apartment beautifully decorated and good size. LOsteria restaurant excellent - with back to apartment turn right and walk away from city center. Restaurant not far down on left 50 meters or so. Truffle dishes and wild boar with chocolate excellent.
