We enjoyed staying in this apartment.
Caterina met us and is a wonderful, she had a welcome package of lovely fruit, drinks and food.
The apartment has the most beautiful views of Verona, do not let the stairs put you off.
The apartment was exactly as described, very clean, great facilities.
Close to everything we needed, town Centre, public transport.
We would stay here again if in Verona.
We highly recommend this apartment and the wonderful hosts Teresa and Caterina
We stayed at Casa Vacanza 1597583 (Mansarda) in Verona during May of this year and I cannot remember anything that compares with it. Although you have to walk up a few flights of steps, a very European experience, the hosts make it about as easy as it can be--taking the luggage up and down and doing about everything they can to make your stay special. But once you get to the apartment then it all becomes as good as it gets: the view across Verona and the other houses is beautiful and the apartment itself it spacious and has everything you might want. More than that, the owners added little touches at every turn, from foods, juices, water, and snacks to keep you happy. Finally, the apartment is located a few blocks from everything you want to see, so when you walk out in the morning all of Verona is right there at your feet. We felt that there is no better way to travel than this--having a place to stay where the hosts seem only to want to make you feel welcome and comfortable. It felt to us like even more than a 5 star accommodation because of the personal warmth and care we were shown throughout our stay.
I traveled with two other friends and we all stayed here at this apartment. There was plenty of space for all of us as we each had our own room. The beds were comfortable to sleep on and the living quarters were spacious and contained a computer that allowed us access to the internet. The apartment was clean and the number of windows gave access to a charming view of the city. The kitchen was ample for us to cook in a few of the nights during the week we were there. The refrigerator was large enough to accommodate large bottles of water. The owner could not have been more gracious. On arrival to the apartment, there was a bottle of champagne chilled in the refrigerator to welcome us as well as fresh fruit , cookies and bottled water. She made sure that fruit , bread and water were always available to us for breakfast, when we wanted, and was always left for us outside our door to be picked up in the morning. We took advantage of the washer dryer which was greatly appreciated. She even supplied the soap. For some, the fact that there were 81 steps to get in to the apartment may be a deterrent. For us, it was no problem. The owner, her mother and brother were there to bring our luggage up when we arrived and down when we left. A huge help. I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Verona for any period of time, truly a home away from home
I was part of a group of three who rented this apartment in Verona. There are about eighty steps to get to the apartment. However, they help you with your luggage when you arrive, and when you leave. Other than this, the stairs were very manageable, and I am in my mid-sixties. I would not recommend this apartment if someone has physical disabilities, or is wheelchair bound. Regardless, the apartment is BEAUTIFUL, centrally located, and spacious. It is very comfortable and is a great home-away-from-home. There is also WiFi. Catarina, who speaks English very well, was very accommodating and helpful with tips on where to eat, and what to see. She also provided breakfast every day. I would highly recommend this apartment for a stay in Verona. It makes a great home base for not only seeing Verona, but other towns on day trips, such as Padua, Venice, and Lake Garda. You cannot beat this place for its views, comfort, space, and location. The people who own and run it cannot be nicer!
We rented this property for a week. There were several aspects about the property which made it an outstanding place to stay in Verona. First, was the apartment itself. It is spacious and airy with plenty of light. It as a well equipped kitchen (good size refrigerator and stove, plenty of dishes and pots and pans) and comfortable beds. We were able to make dinners in when we did not feel like going out. There is also wi-fi. Second, the views of the city and the river were wonderful. Being on the top floor of the building allows it to have an amazing view. Third, is the proximity to the old part of Verona. With just a short walk across the bridge outside the door, you are in the central part of Verona and are near many of the sites to see. Last, but not least is Caterina, the young woman who is the owner and was the coordinator of our stay. She and her family are warm and gracious and made our visit a pleasure. Anything we needed, she saw to. One word of caution, the apartment is on the top floor and has about 80 steps to get there (there is no elevator). This means that this apartment will not work for someone who has extreme difficulty with stairs. However, we were all in our mid-60's and had no difficulty with the stairs. The steps should not be a deterrent to anyone who is reasonably fit, especially when you know that you will be in this wonderful apartment once you are up the steps.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. When I go back to Verona, this will be the first place I will look to for its availability.
The apartment is located in walking distance from main attractions such as Juliet's Balcony (3 min), Piazza Erbe (5 min), Piazza Dante (5 min), Piazza Bra and the Arena (10-12 min), Castelvecchio (15-17 min) and the Teatro Romano (5 min).
