Welcome to our second home. Our family has been enjoying this lake house for 50 years. During the summers, we lived in the water: swimming, waterskiing and fishing! Beautiful sunsets, lots of grilling and even sleeping on the beach!
Our parents planted the Live Oaks, Palm Trees, and Crepe Myrtle and they chose St Augustine grass for it's thick, soft texture.

35 miles from Historic Charleston and 2 hours from Myrtle Beach. Moncks Corner is a thriving, growing town with Supercenter Wal Mart (5 miles), lots of churches, grocery stores, restaurants, banks, drug stores, urgent ER care/hospital, police and fire stations.

Bring your rod 'n reel and cast out off about 100 ft from the dock for dusk to dawn
catfishing.

Want to golf? About 10 miles away from the lake house is Berkeley Country Club, Exteter Plantation Road, Moncks Corner, for public golf, open 7 days a week. 843. 761. 4653

Lake Moultrie is a man-made lake!! Built in 1940 by Santee Cooper.
This "lower lake " is 60,000 acres.
It has a natural sandy bottom and a LOT of freshwater mussels!
(We like to wear water shoes)
Lake Moultrie is best known for being a recreational lake... lots of boating, fishing and swimming !
Pinopolis Lock is a fun boating "day trip" , 843.899.5625. It connects to the Tailrace canal, that leads into the Intercoastal Waterway.
Another boating "day trip" is the Diversion Canal, connecting Lake Moutrie (lower lake) to Lake Marion (upper lake).

A wonderful family vacation home. Lots of TLC here ! Walk outside right onto your own private beach. When the water is calm and the sun is high, you can see to the bottom. The beach starts with an easy, shallow slope and the water gradually deepens to 2-5 ft deep at the end of a 60 ft dock . Pretty sandy beach with a private jet ski ramp. Swim all day! Beautiful sunsets. Two large shady Live Oaks and lots of Crepe Myrtles in the back yard.
The neighborhood offers a 5 mile trail along the lake's dike, with lakeside views, but, there is NO SHADE; so, early morning or late afternoon is the best walking/biking time, especially during the summer!
Bring your own bikes and walking shoes, and enjoy this family friendly , quiet neighborhood with paved roads and shade trees; it's a nice mixture of retired couples and young families.
