Our stay at Le Scalette was fantastic. Patrizia is a lovely host, who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She had wine, bread and fruit ready on our arrival, and directed us to local restaurants, where we had one of the best meals of our trip. The house was spotless, and decorated beautifully. It is a ways off the road, and in the middle of farm land, yet only minutes away from the town and access to the highway, about a 15 minute drive to Florence. The only downside was that we were not allowed to stay permanently.
Our party of 4 stayed at Patrizia's lovely farmhouse for a week, between Christmas and New Year's. The house is a 17th century Tuscan farmhouse and beautifully decorated by Patrizia. The house was warm and comfortable at this time of year, and we spent many evenings around the fireplace drinking our Chianti! Patrizia is so helpful and wants to make sure her guests are comfortable and happy. She is available for suggestions for dining, or for places to visit in the area. Her villa is well situated near the village of Genestra which as a pharmacy, small grocery store and some good restaurants. The main road closest to her house will scenically lead you to Florence. A very good vacation in a beautiful home with a beautiful view of the Tuscan countryside. Thanks Patrizia for your hospitality.
Thanks Patrizia for a wonderful stay at your property. The location was very convenient for day trips into Tuscany or Florence. The bedrioms were quite roomy and comfortable. Bathrooms are updated and clean. You have a beautiful terrace overlooking the vineyards. We enjoyed the sprawling vineyards on the way to your property and appreciating the natural setting. Thanks for being so helpful in providing us with recommendation to nearby eateries and making those reservation upon request. We also wanted to thank you for being insightful and mindful for suggesting the day trips that were appropriate for our family. Thanks again and sending my best regards!
The property and surroundings were just
Beautiful everything you want in a Tuscany
Experience. We can't thank Patrizia enough
For all of her help with everything. She is a lovely hostess and has a wealth of information all about Tuscany area. We
Recommend this villa to everyone. Thanks
Comfortable, roomy and beautifully designed, reflecting the creativity of owner Patrizia. My husband and I were traveling with our college-aged daughter who was on Spring Break while studying in nearby Florence. Patrizia is a gracious hostess who went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She helped us find local eating spots and made reservations for us. She also offered guidance on nearby sites including several amazing hill towns, then helped us figure out the best way to get there. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!
In a rural area just outside a quaint little village of Ginestra is this beautiful and authentic villa, and only about fifteen minutes from Florence. So you are not only experiencing the true feeling of Italy you are also minutes from all the attraction of the city.
Patrizia the owner is not only very welcoming but also a great wealth of tourists information
We would highly recommend Patrizia and her villa ,we would return if or when the opportunity ever presents its self
A small country road will lead you to the property through vineyards and olive groves.
The village of San Vincenzo a Torri , just a mile away has a small grocery and a bakery.
Pharmacy, bank, restaurant, and many other stores are in the near by village of Ginestra Fiorentina.
The Museo Archeologico della Ceramica in the town of Montelupo, for centuries the centre of ceramic and terracotta is considered one of the most important of its kind.
The property has sprawling views of the countryside with charming medieval villages dotting the landscape. Trekking, riding, swimming and golf within reach.
The house is only about a 20 minute drive to Florence and less than an hour drive to Pisa, Siena, Lucca, Arezzo and the other well known Chianti towns and villages. Less than 2 hours from the Cinque Terre and one hour from the coast.
While away from it all the house is only a few miles from all major highways making it quick and easy to take day sightseeing trips all over Tuscany.
