Il cottage è idealmente situato nel cuore della storica Southport, a breve distanza a piedi da tutti i negozi di antiquariato, le boutique alla moda e rilassanti ristoranti e bar di pesce sul lungofiume.

Le spiagge di Oak Island sono a 10 minuti. Bald Head Island e le spiagge di Pleasure Island: Carolina Beach, Kure Beach e Fort Fisher sono solo 20 minuti di traghetto da Southport. Il traghetto è a 6 minuti dal cottage.

Perfect Getaway

If your looking for somewhere to stay in Southport this is the place. In walking distance downtown area. The accommodations were clean and we felt as if we were in our own little hideaway.

Anniversary trip

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Bird Song cottage for our anniversary. The convenience of the cottage to the restaurants, shops and historic places was perfect. Kelly was very accommodating and provided us with the sense of privacy. We loved the welcome basket!

Home away from home!

Birdsong cottage is a wonderful place to stay! Perfect for just 2 people. The walk back to the cottage on the brink walkway is lovey. We so enjoyed sitting out on the front patio and watching the birds. We parked our car and was able to walk to all the shops and restaurants. Kelly and Robert also had a nice surprise in the refrigerator waiting for us! Thank you both so much for letting us stay with you. We will be back!

Get-away in a Garden

This property was ideal for our stay. Location was everything...we never had to drive once during our stay because we could walk to everything we needed or were interested in...craft show, boat show, restaurants, quaint shops, museum, waterfront, pub, etc! The rental is perfectly located in historic Southport. Most of all, at night when we needed to relax and unwind, we were able to enjoy sitting in the beautiful, serene, and private yard to enjoy wine and cheese and the breeze! There is a local venue nearby that had live music nightly, which we listened to from our yard. All music ended before 8:00pm and the whole community quiets down. Just peaceful. Our hosts were very welcoming and provided us with so many local pointers on places to go. The cottage was super comfortable and cozy with all the desired ammenities. We will definitely be returning to this rental!

Informazioni sull’host

Kelly and Robert chose Southport, NC as their new home after living and working together in the charter yacht vacation industry in the US Virgin Islands for 20 plus years. Robert was born and raised in East Lansing, Michigan before moving to Denver, CO and eventually the US Virgin Islands. Kelly grew up in Bernardsville, NJ, then lived in Philadelphia for 10 years before making the USVI her home. The two were married (first marriages for both) in Southport in 2016.

Captain Robert holds a USCG 100 ton license and is Padi Dive Master. If you would like to go boating for a day...talk to Robert! He works currently as a relief captain on the Bald Head Island Ferry, so he can offer you recommendations about a BHI excursion as well.

Kelly is a Licensed Real Estate Broker with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage in Southport. She also runs a successful real estate investment company, buying and rehabbing historic properties around Southport. If you are interested in looking at any property while you are in the area, Kelly will be happy to show you around!

The cottage is a lovely garden oasis in the heart of historic Southport. The cottage is close enough to the waterfront and to the shops and restaurants for guests to walk or ride a bike everywhere. Staying at Birdsong Cottage is like being an instant local.
