In città 2 camera degli ospiti cottage con un cortile privato recintato. Il cottage fa parte di una tenuta che è stata costruita dalla famiglia Heminway che produce fili di seta in città. La struttura dispone di alberi maturi e giardino. Ristrutturato a settembre 2016, la casa presenta nuovi elettrodomestici, ripiani in granito, una camera da letto principale, una seconda camera da letto, un soggiorno con caminetto, l'aria condizionata e una zona pranzo esterna coperta. La Scuola Taft si trova a 2 minuti di auto dal cottage. Ci sono molti ottimi ristoranti a pochi passi di distanza della proprietà insieme a un cinema. Black Rock State Park si trova a breve distanza sulla Route 6.
La casa ha un'atmosfera rilassante, è stato costruito nel 1950 con la costruzione intonaco che lo rende molto tranquillo. Il cortile è circondata da alberi di pino bianco 100 piedi e vi è una zona dove si può accendere un fuoco legame in legna da ardere una caduta sera- è fornito. Il cottage ha una porticina che ospiterà un 35lb. animale domestico. Si è recintata con un muro di pietra 5 piedi di salire le strade.

Avrete accesso a tutti i 7 acri e un flusso privato che attraversa la parte posteriore della proprietà è un posto meraviglioso per essere quando il tempo si scalda.

The Garden Cottage

Staying at the Garden Cottage was a serene and peaceful get away after losing a very dear nephew. Faye and family allowed my local family to come to visit and enjoy the peace and serenity of the country surrounded by the beauty of the flowers and nature. Its fragrant scent still lingers. Quintessential New England

Super charming cottage! Loved being surrounded by flowers in bloom; enjoyed morning coffee in outside space. Interior lovely with well chosen antiques/vintage appropriate items. I was worried about white couches with a hubby and a teenager, but there were covers for protection. We did not cook or needed a kitchen for meals, just made coffee, but could have easily done so in well equipped kitchen. No room for three to sit in kitchen, but did not need to. Lovely stay with friendly hosts!

Great location, could use a few tweeks

The location is great, the cottage cozy with enough space for 4 adults (not sure 6 would be comfortable), but there are a few reasons I gave the review a 4: 1) the hot water is so hot my husband got literal burns doing dishes not realizing the water would get that hot 2) When we arrived there were no lights anywhere. The lanterns on the stone wall by the road werent on, the porch light wasnt on, at least one inside light wasnt on. It was very dark and hard to see. 3) So SO much furniture for such a tiny place. There was furniture in every doorway making getting around the cottage very awkward. We ended up moving things to get through doorways and none of us are fat. 4) Poor arrival instructions. The welcome email does not state how to get a key (the front door was left open), or how to connect to wifi (I had to email for password). There was also no exit instructions. We did the dishes and took the trash out, which really for a $300 cleaning fee was good enough in our opinion. 4) More blankets for the beds now that it is colder would be nice. Or a throw or two for the couches to snuggle up and watch TV would be good. But overall the stay was excellent. There is laundry on property making cleaning easy. It is close to Rt 8 making getting around CT very easy. The property owner is very communicative, so if there’s an issue she responds quickly (we had no issue beyond not knowing the door would be left open and not knowing the wifi PW). Also, they get a half star for having a naughty lightswitch which I appreciated. David is one of my favorite statues. Thanks for the great stay :)

Quaint cottage

Great location. Faye accommodated us for a few extra days. We had our hardwood floors refinished and it was perfect for us checking in on our house. Pet friendly.

The Cottage WIFI: It features an true enterprise-class wifi network (Ubiquiti 1Gbs 802.11AC Pro meshed hotspots, hub, router and switches) and 200Mbs Internet service, dependably delivering excellent bandwidth to every room, so multiple concurrent video conferencing steams and remote work (for an entire group) are guaranteed to proceed without a problem.

In the evening the living room converts to another bedroom, all that is need is to move a coffee table and pull down the Murphy bed.
There is FREE wifi, and subscriptions to Netflix and Amazon Prime for the TV in the front bedroom. A large air conditioning unit keeps the house cool in the summer. We've outfitted the kitchen extensive with a variety of spices, basics such as sugar, flour, tea along with a cabinet full of pots and pans.
The things we want to find when we travel, we have tried to provide:
The linen closet is full of towels, soft linen, comforters, blankets, extra soap, toilet paper and additional pillows down & fiber.
Under the kitchen sink we provide packet dishwashing soap, unopened sponges, garbage bags and various cleaners.
In the front kitchen closet there is a vacuum, broom and fire extinguisher immediately to the right is the door that leads to the garage. A few steps down take a quick left and the door to your left leads to the laundry in the basement of the cottage.
If you stay for a week or longer the house is warm in the winter cool in the summer and convenient to the areas attractions.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

The property is on 7 acres with a stream that is a wonderful refuge in the summer. It also is a 2 minute drive to Taft school, or a 10 minute walk to the movie theatre. The town features several excellent resta and The Main Street Grill. The Sunset Grill at CrestBrook Country Club serves wonderful specials all during the week that you can find on their website.
The cottage is located 3 miles from Black Rock State Park where you can swim in the summer or take wonder walks in the other 3 seasons through wooded pathways. Swimming is also available at Crestbrook I can give you more information on that.
Right up the street if you follow Nova Scotia Hill Road you will arrive at Veterans Park. You have to go through the stoplight at the top and cross Buckingham Street. There is a nice playground there along with paths that go through the woods. and concerts in the summer.
