We enjoyed our last minute family vacation at this property. It had amazing views of the mountains and great access to the lake. Like others mentioned, the lake was flooded during our stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the beach as expected but that wasn’t the owners fault. We were still able to fish on the little area available and launch the kayaks and the one paddle board. The listing needs updated as there’s only 2 kayaks and 1 paddle board available. It made us a little uncomfortable getting the kayaks and board out of the abandoned, decrepid building by the lake. There’s really no beach area so much as a launch point for a kayak.
The house met our needs for our trip, but it is very old. Bottom line, you must rent this property for the lake access, not the house. The location was incredible. The pool was nice and clean as well. We did appreciate that the house was stocked with essential items like hand soap, trash bags, toilet paper, etc that you don’t always receive with a VRBO.
The communication with the owner, Glenn, was great. He provided a lot of information and suggestions before and during our trip. Would rent there again for the right price.
Future renters please note there was no Verizon cell service on the property. We had to rely on the WiFi. We had to get our Google map all set up with directions while in the house’s wifi before getting in the car.
