Peaceful family retreat

This home had everything we needed and more. The house is spacious,warm and was very clean, all throughout. The owners are very attentive, yet give you privacy to enjoy a vacation. We chose this place to have a nice family getaway, and this place was perfect. The views from this house are amazing, and the kitchen was one of my favorite rooms. Our son enjoyed the retro arcade in the recreation room downstairs. Overall we plan on returning to this home again next time we come out to Big Bear for a family retreat. I highly recommend this house to families or a romantic retreat for couples.

Wonderful Winter Getaway

Some friends and I went to Big Bear for a winter weekend getaway and couldn't have had a better time! This cabin was cozy and spacious and had something for everyone! While we were there, we enjoyed having our entire group eat at the large dining room table, we enjoyed movies by the fire, spent time in the hot tub, walked down to the lake, and had some heated games of pool and foosball. The house was clean and had all of the amenities we could want. I highly recommend it and hope to come back! Thank you so much for such a nice trip!

Winter Wonderland - Best Cabin Ever!

My family of eight adults and four young children stayed here for six nights. It was the best experience I could have imagined in big bear. We played hours of pool and foosball, the kids (and adults) were sledding for half the day in the backyard, and we ended at night by playing, cards, board games or doing a puzzle at the game table. The cabin was beautiful and very comfortable. We had plenty of space and it never felt crowded.
Fred was wonderful to work with and there were no issues to deal with upon arrival or throughout our stay.
We are heading up to the mountains again this winter, but unfortunately don't have the number of people to make this cabin affordable for us. In looking at the other properties, though, this was a great deal for the luxury this place has to offer. I was definitely spoiled for our first mountain vacation and hope to be back soon!

we had a fantastic family vacation at the beautiful eagle view lodge.

as you walk in the front door the house is absolutely beautiful. the decor, the layout, the feeling you are at a home away from home.. the house was well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen, we were able to cook many meals which we enjoyed either at the large dining table or around the spacious breakfast bar. we had our 2 young adult children and 2 of thier friends and there was something for everyone, pool, arcade games, wii,(which we all enjoyed) board games, card table, movies, the spa. and the fireplace and large tub in the master bedrooms was a luxury we enjoyed. plenty of room for all to hang out together or spread out and do our own thing . the beds were very comfortable. i cannot think of a single thing we needed that was not there. the backyard is perfect for sledding or snowplaying. the location was quiet and the view out the large livingroom was breathtaking.. the owners were more than accomodating, very pleasant and freindly to work with, and answered all of my many questions throughout my process of looking for a house to rent. we would definately reccomend this home to anyone and look forward to renting it again in the future.

I can't say enough about this beautiful home and its owners!!! We highly recommend staying at this place! It is so gorgeous, very clean and well stocked. The location is so convenient to everything and the views are so pretty. I have never written a review before on vrbo, but I had to because we loved this home so much. We have stayed at other places in Big Bear, but this one blows all of the other ones out of the water. We will be back!

We booked Eagle View Lodge to celebrate the 40th birthday of my fiancee. When we arrived, we discovered that this house is even better than it looks in the pictures. We had a large group of people, and every person was thrilled to be spending 3 days in a house that incredible. We could not have asked for more. The house was huge, beautifully decorated, and the views were gorgeous. As mentioned, we had a very large group, and every person was beyond comfortable with the accommodations Eagle View Lodge provided. Things we loved the most; the beautiful wood within the house -specifically the breakfast bar, the hot tub, the pool table, the foosball table, the view, and the downstairs bar. We could not have asked for a cooler place. Everything we needed was provided for us -linens, anything we needed to cook, etc. There was not one thing that we would have changed. The master bedrooms were incredible -deep tubs within the rooms, showers, fireplaces. The house itself was so big but wonderfully cozy at the same time. I would recommend this place to anyone, and would stay there again in an instant. Skiing, grocery stores, and restaurants were right up the street -everything was accessible. I am a neat-freak and the place was clean, and everything was in working order. The owners were could not have been any more helpful. They assisted us with all of of questions, and were super friendly. The house combined with the owners' willingness to ensure we had the perfect stay, was above and beyond anything we expected. We were even greeted by a basket of goodies sitting on the breakfast bar upon our arrival. It was the perfect vacation/celebration.

Awesome stay at the Eagle View Lodge

Our group had such a fun time staying at the Eagle View Lodge! Where to begin?
When you first open the door, your jaw will drop when you walk in because the kitchen is simply gorgeous. Besides being attractive, it is well stocked and roomy. We cooked many delicious meals and shared good times. The living room has a flatscreen TV with satellite and many DVDs. The couches are very comfy! Each of the bedrooms is great, and the two master bedrooms are wonderful with all the amenities and fireplaces to keep you warm.
The gameroom has a pool table, a foosball table, and another flatscreen, along with a bar. It was a lot of fun to shoot pool, watch TV, and just relax. There is also an air hockey table in the garage. We greatly enjoyed using the spa just outside the downstairs master bedroom also.
The setting is very nice, up on a hill overlooking the valley below. You can tell that it is located in one of Big Bear’s nicest neighborhoods. The owner does not advertise a lake view, but you can see it far below through the trees. The location is quiet and peaceful. However, it is also about 5 minutes from town, and less than a mile from the Oktoberfest location. (You could probably walk there.) We weren’t there during snow season, but I think it is fairly close to the slopes also.
We had a great time at the wine tasting location in town, and an incredibly delicious lunch at the Nepalese restaurant downtown. Don’t forget the free cooking demonstrations at the bakery/kitchen store across the street from the restaurant!
Dealing with the owner is very easy, and his pricing is very fair. Hours of searching showed us many Big Bear rentals that were priced higher and did not look nearly as nice as the Eagle View Lodge. He and his wife even left us a welcome package with a bottle of wine and some snacks. Small touches like that show a level of thought and care about both the property and the guests that is very evident in all the small details at the house.
I can highly recommend the Eagle View Lodge. Our group is already trying to figure out when we can go back!

Amazing Cabin!!

Just came back from a stay at Eagle View Lodge. What a place! It was all and more. The open space of the cabin was well laid out. My family enjoyed the gameroom downstairs. Foosball and billiards, what a great way for a family to have fun together. And the Hot tub at night. Watching the stars above was so romantic after the little ones were asleep was wonderful. We intend to come back again real soon. The owners were so helpful with answering our questions and concerns, they made you feel right at home.....

Fun yet relaxing weekend

My family and I (10 people) rented this lodge for the weekend and we had an amazing time! It fit my family and friends comfortably. My favorite part was relaxing in the hot tub with a beautiful view and our pool tournament oh and our hike we took behind the cabin was lots of fun too :) We were able to make dinner for everyone easily with all the stuff they have already available (all we needed to bring was food). The grocery store is right down the street along with restaurants so that was really nice so we didn't have to cook every night. This place is huge (the pictures don't even do it justice) and the view is amazing. We went to the zoo which is also nearby and has really cool animals! I will be renting this place again in the winter so we can go sledding and boarding!! Can't wait :)
