My husband and I stayed for a week at this condo "on top of sunset cliffs". The owner, Donn, was very nice and met us at the condo to get keys and garage door opener. It was nice to have a personal parking spot in a secure location. The elevator helped in getting our luggage up to the second floor. We have stayed in the area before, but never directly on the ocean. The balcony is very private and you would never know there are condos on either side. On two separate occasions, we saw grey whales spouting just past the kelp beds. We also saw dolphins "surfing" in the waves. Watching the sun set from the balcony is especially spectacular. The condo is very IKEA which we happen to like a lot. It is so nice to have a kitchen and living room to relax and save some money on meals too. Donn was so kind as to leave us a couple bottles of wine and some local micro brews. We couldn't haven't really asked for any more. We would definitely recommend this condo for any one wanting to stay in San Diego.

The condo on Sunset Cliffs was perfect. It was exactly as the emailed information portrayed it to be.
It was clean and well-maintained, and Donn and Barbara were friendly and helpful hosts. The roar of the surf, the surfers, the pelicans, and even a whale spouting right off the front balcony were pretty spectacular. The little town of Ocean Beach was fun to poke around in. And all other attractions listed in our travel guide were conveniently close to us. We enjoyed dining at the Boat House, Blue Water Fish Company, the Pizza Port and lots more. The Farmer's Market in Little Italy was a treat. The Hotel Del was a disappointment. George's in La Jolla was a great place for lunch. And Vicuggi's in Carlsbad was a terrific place for Italian food. San Diego is easily navigated and has something for everyone. We hope to visit again soon, and we would most definitely recommend the city and Sunset Cliffs to others.

Our family had a wonderful time staying at this Sunset Cliffs Condo. The views were fantastic and the condo was welcoming, comfortable and perfect for our needs. Donn (the owner) was very flexible with check-in, check-out times which made our stay so much better and easier for us (we have 2 small children). Also he arranged for a pack n play and high chair for us. I can't say nicer things about our experience. We would definitely return.

What a fabulous rental property! We really wanted to be near the ocean and be able to see and hear waves, this was the perfect apartment in the perfect location. The unit itself is very open as the pictures indicate. Everything was clean and well maintained. The master bedroom has great views of the ocean and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in away from home! There is a great large screen tv in the unit but really, with the ocean to watch who needs a tv? We did appreciate and use the iPod docking station/player. Everything about this unit was open and inviting.
The views are amazing! We watched surfers every day and beautiful sunsets in the evening. Donn and Barbara were very gracious and helpful with recommendations for dining and entertainment (the OB Parade and La Jolla Farmers/Craft Market were great!). It was a pleasant and easy stroll into "downtown" to pick up groceries or have dinner. We particularly enjoyed Sapporo restaurant. Our only complaint was that our stay was too short. Thank you for a great place to stay, we hope to be back and will definitely recommend this property to others!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the condo in November and absolutely loved it! The view from the balcony and bedroom was magnificent. Right on the cliffs with waves rolling into the rocks below. Surfers out every morning. It was truly breathtaking.

The condo was clean and modern with all of the conveniences you would need. The garage below the condo for our rental car was perfect, with an elevator up to the condo.

The owners were more than accommodating and left us wine and beer to enjoy upon our arrival. We will be back next year!

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary "On top of Sunset Cliffs". I choked up when I first looked out at the endless ocean from our balcony and heard the crashing waves below. The condo is beautiful inside! The furniture and bed were so cozy, and I loved soaking in the jacuzzi tub! Also, it was fun to sit and watch the sun set from the privacy of our balcony or walk down to the cliff and share it with the handful of tourists and locals that would gather on the rocks or along the path each evening. Inspiring! Loved the kitchen, really just loved everything about it!
The condo is withing walking distance through lovely neighborhoods to a grocery store and many wonderful restaurants. Bonus!

The condo is in a great location in a quiet neighbourhood with wonderful views of the ocean & cliffs. There's good accessibility via public transit to many attractions. The condo is clean & very comfortable. The sound of the waves was always loud when the balcony doors were open.
Barbara & Donn were very welcoming hosts with many recommendations for what to do.

Very nice newly remodeled and well equipped condo in the Sunset Cliffs area of San Diego. The owners are super nice and live close by. I would highly recommend this condo for a stay in San Diego. It was definitely a HomeAway from home.
