We stayed there over the last Christmas for 10 days. We had an amazing time. Enjoyed everything: from hot springs, views, the sparkling house, the owners.

This place is amazing! Steve and Terri go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We spent most of our time in the hot tub and we now feel well rested and so relaxed! We will definitely be back again and again and again......

We really enjoyed our weekend at Hot Springs Escape. Beautiful view, spacious living area and very close to the hot springs. We are already planning our next trip back and we are telling all out friends! Thank you very much for such an enjoyable stay!

Our highlights? The natural hot springs hot tub on the back deck (obviously!), the owner's helpful tips about the hot spots that locals know about but that aren't advertised for tourists (St. Leon's hot springs, the waterfalls, the hike in the back 40, and where to find wild huckleberries), the gorgeous lake and mountain view from the hot tub and back deck, the kid friendly environment of Nick's place restaurant in Nakusp (looks like a dive from the outside but the food and service is great), and the fact that the kitchen in the rental was stocked better than our kitchen at home!
Our children's highlights? Playing monster trucks and lego with the owner's son! Oh, yeah, and the hot tub.
Our family never does hotels anymore--just vacation rentals--and this one was by far the best for the value, beauty of location, super comfy beds (queen sized bunks for the kids!), and just how the owners made us feel like the place was ours. If people want to do the touristy stuff like Halcyon hot springs, it's a 1 km walk away, but if you are wanting to do the non-touristy, off-the-grid stuff, just ask the owner, who has been an outdoor adventure guide for years.
The only warning is for those who have a low-pro vehicle (like a Honda Prelude or something), as the 1/4 km road to the place is rocky. Vehicles with normal clearance are fine.
We have already and will continue to recommend this place to family and friends, and...if it doesn't get too popular and booked up way in advance...we definitely plan on coming back next year (or next month??!).

We had a wonderful vacation at the house. It has great decks with awesome views of the lake and mountains. The gravel road is a bit of an undertaking but it is worth it. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The only complaints are that there isn't the stated hide-a-beds in the living room which meant our 21 year old daughter had to sleep on the couch as we were a party of 6 adults and 4 children and it would have been nice to have 2 showers. Otherwise it was a perfect stay in a beautiful house. The area is superb for hotsprings and beaces and all sorts of family attractions. The owners recommended a lagoon and waterfall trip which was amazing. All in all an excellent experience!

What a wonderful place! The house is amazing, has spectacular views and was very clean. Of course the hot tub was perfect, especially with the help of the owners who were so helpful and accomodating. We had a wonderful trip and will be back, best rental on the block!
