This is an adorable house, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Excellent location, only a short walk to the beach, to Andy Ross Ln. (Captiva Downtown) and to a couple of marinas. We had a minor issue with the cable when we arrived and it was immediately solved with the help of Tom - the house caregiver -. I highly recommend this house. I hope we will be back to Captiva Island in the near future and this house will be still available for rent.

This was our second trip to Captiva and found this cottage to be just a wonderful place for a relaxing week's vacation. The location on Chapin Lane was perfect - close to everything yet on a quiet street. We brought our bikes along and rode them every day - it's a great ride down to the beach at Blind Pass or up to the north end of Captiva. The house is very well equipped and the nautical decor is so detailed we felt almost like we were on our sailboat. Note that if you are planning to cook the only somewhat large market is down on Sanibel - Jerry's Market. We're hoping the owners may consider adding a swimming pool - then the house would be absolutely perfect! We highly recommend this rental home.

This is the perfect house. Beautifully appointed and decorated. The two porches and den/ bedroom give lots of extra areas for people to hang out in. The location, on a quiet street so close to the beach and restaurants couldn't be better. It was everything we wanted. We wouldn't stay anywhere else on Captiva.

This was the perfect cottage for my family! It was within walking distance to almost everything in Captiva. The beautiful beach was less than a block away and the shelling here was better than on Sanibel. The house was beautiful and was bigger than we expected based on the photos. Very relaxing...loved it!

Couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay on Captiva. We were a group of friends from across the country coming together for a wedding at Chapel-by-the-Sea and we were SO impressed and felt so fortunate to have been able to stay in such a gorgeous beach house. The owners were wonderfully accommodating and very helpful. The house was clean, fun, beautifully decorated, had great indoor and outdoor space. Just wonderful! The location is perfect: walking distance to anything you need on Captiva. We all just wish we could have stayed longer!!!

What a wonderful home to call our own for our time in Captiva. We were a group of 20-somethings from across the country coming together for a wedding- the ceremony was a stone's throw away at Chapel-by-the-Sea, and the reception was over at the Sanctuary on Sanibel. We were blown away by our luck to have had the privilege to stay at this house on Chapin Lane. The pictures are beautiful, but the cottage is even more beautiful in person! Great indoor and outdoor space. Location cannot be beat. Awesome kitchen. The cutest bathrooms ever. Quiet area of Captiva beach just a short walk down the road. We are truly grateful that we were allowed to stay the days we requested - the owners were extremely accommodating. If you have a chance to stay here - do not miss it!! We all wish we could have stayed longer!!

We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful home on Captiva. The house is very user friendly and the location can't be beat. The house was clean and looked even better than the photos. We will definitely be back. Owners were very nice and accommodating.

We had a wonderful visit recently at "By The Sea." We've been many times to Captiva, and this location was just perfect. A short walk to the beach without crossing the main road - two short blocks to all the charming village has to offer (restaurants, shops, grocery store, boat rentals, etc...) but not ON the main strip so we didn't have to deal with the parking issues and noise that go along with being on the main strip. Simply perfect. We didn't want to leave the house at the end of the week. The pictures on this site are excellent, (which were a large part of our choosing this location) and the house looks EVEN better in person! I couldn't believe it. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. We would've stayed an extra week if we could.
