We really enjoyed our stay; the apartments are very beautiful, charming and clean... We will recommend Chalet Beaumont to our friends and will definitely contact you again if we go back to Chamonix.

Chalet Beaumont is a lovely warm and cosy enjoyable place to stay. The view over the valley is stunning. Sarah and Phil are great hosts and Danny the spaniel is the cutest dog ever! Piles of snow everywhere, so skiing is great. Very good grocery store about 5min. away. Lots of shops and very good restaurants. A bit pricey with our exchange. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Chalet Beaumont - Chanonix - Fantastic!!

What a great location! We came out of season, for the last week that skiing was available in Chamonix. There was no snow down in Les Bossons, but the scenery was still great...with the glacier only half hour walk away.

We stayed in the 'budget' accomodation which was clean, spacious and had everything you needed. The restaurant down the road from the chalet was closed, as we went in the first week of may (when everyone is having a little break). However, this was fine as the supermarket is only a short drive down the road.

As we were not there in the 'proper' ski season, we can't comment on the skiing resort in Les Houches, as the only ones open, we're Les Praz do Chamonix and Les Grands Montets. These were great though, for the time we went and I can only imagine that with all of the lifts open in the height of the season it would great.

Reccomendations:

Personally, we would reccomend hiring a car at this time of the season, as there were only 2 'mountains' open and we went from one in the morning to the next in the afternoon. However, if you are going to use the bus/train system, it looked reliable so you could go for that option.

It is quite expensive eating/drinking out especially with the exchange rate at the moment, so get a good rate before you go. Also it might be a good idea to take a rucksack with snacks and drinks up the mountain, as snack food is the most pricey...a bottle of powerade was 4 euros 30.

Great value accomodation, basic although clean and everything you needed included. A good option for value for money and freedom to eat out/in whatever time as opposed to a catered chalet.
