A lovely apartment, very spacious, quiety at night yet close to all amenities including metro just around the corner. Definately an apartment to be recommended and hope to return again!

My husband and I spent 18 nights in this apartment. We have stayed in many apartments in Europe and have a long list of “requirements”. This apartment met all of them. The pictures are accurate.

First of all, Carmen was a delight to deal with as she spoke very good English. Answered our e-mails promptly, was there to greet us and came by the night before we left to return our deposit since we had an early flight.

The location is great. The neighborhood is safe, has everything you need and the Metro (Canal) is about 500m away and has escalators/elevators. Restaurants and three groceries nearby. The building itself was nice and we loved having an elevator that would fit us and our bags. You didn’t get any street noise in the bedrooms as they are in the back.

The apartment had lots of great storage space and plenty of of good lighting. Fortunately, it was air conditioned since the temperature hit 90 our last two days.
The washer/dryer worked great. There was also a clothes rack inside and one out the bedroom window. It was supplied with everything you need to get started….soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry soap, toilet paper, etc. Also there were plenty of blankets and towels.

The bedrooms were nice size, both had nights stands on each side of the bed with reading lights. One bedroom had a wonderful work area for spreading out travel info and maps. This was my favorite part! The WiFi worked great in the lounge; it was a little slower in the bedrooms. Carmen had told us this.

The bathroom was nice and I especially appreciated the hair dryer. Someone else mentioned the spa tub. Yes, it would be a little hard for a child or the elderly to get in and out. There was a little stool by the tub.

The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need to cook a meal. The refrigerator/freezer were larger than what you usually get in Europe.

The lounge area was nice with a large coffee table. The TV looked nice, but we never did turn it on. The dining area is a bit small and would be a real squeeze for four people, but it worked for us.

The only two negatives I have about this apartment would be the booking procedure. We had to pay a hefty fee for a wire transfer and Carmen’s bank charged her a fee to receive it. We prefer to use PayPal. The other problem we had was an odor in the bathroom that came and went. We never could figure out why. It wouldn't keep us from renting here again, but it was a little a annoying.

We stayed for one week and the apartment perfectly met our needs:

The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, and there's an elevator in the building.

My husband and I slept in one bedroom which had a desk/office area also, 2 kids slept in single beds in the second bedroom, and she also provided a crib for the baby which we kept in our bedroom.

The bathroom had a large jetted soaker tub with shower. There's a step stool to get in because it's so high and deep which made bathing the little ones a little challenging but otherwise it was fine.

The kitchen has all the necessities, including washer/dryer combo (takes a while to dry the clothes, so I just used the drying rack in the closet).

AC and WIFI worked great.

Parking is available for an extra cost in an underground garage around the corner, very tight getting in and out, but necessary if you have a car.

Access to the metro was super convenient, very short walk to two stations, one of which has an elevator which was great with 2 kids in strollers.

Small convenience stores for essentials very close, and short walk to larger ones, just need to figure out their hours. Bars serving coffee, beer and wine very close.

And if you have little ones in diapers, DODOT is the same as Pampers :)

We are just back from a short Madrid break in this wonderful apartment. It is not just that it is a perfect mix between comfort and style, not just that it has everything (& more) that a rental apartment should have (in our case for 3 young children) - not just the wonderful location, calm but a stone's throw from everything - more than that it is the owners, who spent an hour finding us a shop with fresh milk for the baby at 10pm the night we arrived, who were more than understanding over my stupid breakage and who are not ony friendly, but also organised and professional - it was fab!

My husband and two teens stayed here for four days in July. We were VERY thankful to have AC. The apartment was clean and had everything! We were able to get everywhere from the Canal Metro station. Carmen was very helpful about local shops and how to get around. I even had a wonderful swim at a local pool ten minutes walk from the house. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. This locale provides a wonderful neighborhood feel with cafes and ice creams shops open late. We left a suitcase behind and Carmen was helpful in getting it to us promptly. This is a wonderful place to stay and we hope to return!

Fantastic apartment in the heart of Madrid. Our family stayed here for 2 weeks and loved the apartment. The apartment is truly your "home away from home" with everything you could need: kitchen with all the necessities, washing machine, wifi internet and internet TV. The long hallway that separates the living room and the bedrooms make the apartment feel spacious. While the apartment is in a residential area away from the tourist area, we found that to add to its charm. It is also very convenient to the metro with a stop being only 1 block away. We were here with our 2 small children and there are 2 parks close to the apartment that they loved. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a great stay in Madrid.

Très bon accueil de Carmen, toujours disponible et à notre écoute.
Appartement bien entretenu et très confortable, tout équipé, climatisé (impératif pour l’été), Wifi performant dans un immeuble de très bon standing, calme. Pour ceux qui sont en voiture, possibilité d’avoir un parking surveillé à 1 mn à pied.
Situé dans une rue très calme dans quartier sûr et animé (supérette, restaurants, boutiques, bars …) à 2 mn du métro (sûr car très surveillé et propre).
Nous avons aussi apprécié la proximité en métro des principaux points de visite, 4 stations de métro du Palacio Réal de Madrid, 5 stations de Sol, 7 stations (15 mn) du Prado et 4 stations (avec 1 changement) du stade Santiago Bernabéu.
Accessible par ascenseur, convient a une famille avec 2 enfants, ou 2 couples quelque soit l’age.
Convient à toutes personnes qui souhaitent visiter le centre de Madrid.
