Casa Lola is paradise for toddlers - and adults. The house is beautiful, there's a never ending range of entertainment for the little ones from the swimming pool to a sandpit perfectly located in the shade for the afternoon, and a warehouse packed full of toys including a giant trampoline. The toiletries in the bathroom make you feel like you are in a five star hotel, but Victoria's charming help and advice from the time we booked is one of a kind. We booked a chef to cook for us on Victoria's recommendation and that was brilliant, allowing the adults to relax and indulge in amazing food without worrying about babysitters or taxis. Overall, it was the best holiday we've had since our son was born. I'd definitely go back

I fell deeply in love with the Marches when I first visited 20 years ago. At that time, we were the only English tourists and welcomed with warmth and generosity by local people. I introduced Victoria and Matthew to the Marche and saw Casa Lola when they first bought it. So, I was interested to see what had come of their grand plan. They have created a little bit of paradise on earth. The view from Casa Lola of the hills, valleys and Monte Sibillini in the distance is enough to make the holiday in itself. To have, in addition, the comfort and luxury of the villa, the elegance and tranquility of its gardens and terraces, is to have a week of heaven on earth.

The children (9 and 5) were entirely content with the pool, the trampoline and table tennis in the barn and occasional visits to the farm along the track. Indeed, they were so happy and self-contained that I actually got to lie by the pool for short spells of uninterrupted reading - the first time on a holiday for 9 years!

I would give Casa Lola a 10 star rating if that was allowed!

We've just returned from our holiday at Casa Lola with another family and it was an absolute shame to leave.

Between us there were six children as well as the four adults but due to the size of the house it never felt crowded or cramped. The split level sleeping meant that we had a floor each which helped us keep our privacy and a bit of space when needed.

The main living area is superb with a great kitchen and all the mod-cons needed to keep young children quiet when they've had enough sun.

Outside the play barn is simply superb with our kids bouncing happily on the trampoline or playing table football for hours or swimming in the superb swimming pool. Yet again with so many outdoor space it kept squabbles to a minimum. For adults there is plenty of grass to lie on and while away the day. Especially useful is the shade of the apple trees in the middle of the day when siesta time rolls round.

The scenery is simply stunning. You can see the sea from the front of the house, Gran Sasso from the back and the Sibillinni mountains from the side. I'd highly recommend driving over the mountains to get to Lake Fiastra which is great for swimming and boating.

Lastly if you like running the nearby town of Monte San Martino is almost exactly 5k away. I used to get an early morning espresso there and listen to the sounds of the morning mass coming from the church while wondering whether I could afford a holiday home in Le Marche. The return trip is mostly downhill too which helps.

A highly recommended home I'd love to go to again.

The views alone will give you a lift, every morning as you look out across rolling hills towards the Sibillini mountains - what a location!

The house has been renovated with fantastic attention to detail - every room - the bathrooms, the bedrooms, the kitchen - is a pleasure to use. The garden is gorgeous, the pool a great place to cool off and hang out. Breakfast out on the verandah is a sublime way to start the day.

We have two small and energetic boys, and this was an ideal place to bring them, with fields and garden to run around in, and a well-appointed play-room. We could happily have spent most of our time in the house, if there hadn't been so many wonderful attractions nearby.

But this must be one of Italy's loveliest areas. The small hill-towns, the mountain walks in the Sibillini national park, the renaissance centre of Ascoli Piceno, the food...

This is an exceptional house for a family holiday, in an area of unrivalled beauty. We will certainly be back.

The perfect retreat for unwinding. Our two families shared this wonderful villa in August and haven't stopped talking about it since.
The house, the views, the food, the pool - all amazing.
The house is perfect for two families, lots of space to spread out. Kitchen is well equipped and the local produce so tasty that cooking was a pleasure.
The variety of out door areas to sit and relax in meant there was hardly any need to leave the villa. The views are stunning - we all loved watching the sunset and then later the night sky was magnificent.
Although we didn't venture far, it was great to sit in the squares of the local towns and watch people going by. The wonderful selection of ice creams added to the pleasure.
The towns really came alive at night and it was great to hear live music of all descriptions.
Le Querce lived up to it's reviews, as did having an authentic Italian meal cooked for us at Casa Lola by Pauline and Agostina. Both experiences not to be missed.

We have just returned from Casa Lola where we spent two weeks on holiday with friends. The house was perfect and as well equipped as any we have stayed in. Clearly Victoria, the owner, has put much thought into making this a home from home.

With five children under six between us, including a one year old, we were delighted how well geared the house is for families. The various activities in the play barn were a real hit, particularly the trampoline.

The wonderful house is however surpassed by the views of the Sibilini mountains, which are simply breathtaking. That means spending plenty of time outside and again we were not disappointed with the choice of areas for outdoor eating, drinking and relaxing. The pool is great and the fencing gives peace of mind for those with children.

Following a suggestion by the owner (who is extremely helpful), we treated ourselves and had dinner and wine tasting laid on for us at the house. Pauline, Giorgio and Augustine laid on a fantastic evening and we would definitely recommend this to others - just don't eat too much that day as there is mountains of food!

Just down the road is a fantastic restaurtant - Le Querce - where we had a brilliant evening. Simple Italin food done very, very well by the owners. It felt very authentic and we loved the fact there there were no menus, and when you ordered you simply chose pasta, pizza or meat! Get there early for a table outside though.

The local towns of Sarnano and Amandola are both great places to spend time, and espresso and ice cream at Cafe Belli were always a treat. Further afield, a trip to the coast or to Ascoli is definitely worth it, as is a visit to the fresh water lake (Lago di Fiastra).

All in all, Casa Lola comes very highly recommended. Without the mass of tourists you find in Tuscany, it is a great place to spend a holiday with loads to do and see and a high standard of accommodation throughout.

We have just had a wonderful holiday at Casa Lola! What a wonderful place. The view is quite sensational and I doubt I've ever swum looking over such a sight.

The accommodation is fantastic value for money. There are only two bathrooms and a separate loo downstairs, however this didn't bother us at all and i think this can be the only reason why the house is so reasonable to rent. The house is beautifully furnished in a modern way and is a very stylish place to stay. The kitchen is one of the best stocked kitchens i have ever had the pleasure to use. It really has everything you could ask for.

However, the local restaurants offer tremendous amounts of delicious food at very reasonable prices - much cheaper than you would find in the UK.

All in all, i think Casa Lola offers very good value for money and I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to recommend it to all my friends and family and indeed anyone looking for a truly special holiday destination. I will certainly be back soon.

We love Casa Lola so much that we keep coming back every year. The house is charming and has bags of character but is entirely practical and fully equipped, whether for grown-ups, tiddlers or even those somewhere in between.

It's roomy and welcoming, stylish but not at all prissy. The pool is glorious and the views - especially of the mountains in the early mornings - utterly beguiling. You will need a car to get around but the location is rural and quiet rather than remote.

The Local towns - Amandola and Sarnarno - are both within 20min drive. Amandola in particular is a lovely little town with a beautiful square and wonderful food shopping. The people are very friendly and proud of their town, and if you make the effort to speak even a little Italian you will usually be rewarded with a smile.

There's even a supermarket at the bottom of the hill there which is open on Sunday - handy for when you arrive and all the other shops are shut.

The fascinating social spectacle that is the Italian seaside is about an hour away by car, complete with palm-fringed boulevards and spotless beaches dotted with umbrellas and sun loungers provided by the hotels and bars that line the fronts of most Adriatic resort towns.

Anyone who enjoys being in, on, or up mountains is unlikely to get as far as the seaside though. Walking in the stunning Sybillines is absolutely not to be missed. Plenty of maps and guidebooks provided.

If you're looking for a truly relaxing, delightful and practical family holiday, in a part of Italy which is much less touristy that Tuscany but runs it a close second for natural beauty, you won't find better.
