As said in all the review written before, the house is situated in the most fantastic settings. The sunset over the blue mountains and Plakias bay in the west has no comparison and in whatever direction you look the views are stunning. The house is located just on the sourternmost edge of the village Kerames, facing the sea. Just a minute's walk up the narrow streets takes you to the center of the village with the church and the village square hosting a mini version of the Spili drinking fountains. Although truly part of the village, the house is built in a way that make you feel total privacy when sitting on either one of the large terasses.

The house itself is clean, well looked after and equiped as described in the ad. It gives you exactly the right "greek" feeling with it's white washed thick stone walls, blue doors and deep window nisches. The standard of equipment isn't exactly swedish but that's part of the charm and most important, everything works OK.

Although close to the sea, you definitely need a car to get to the beaches. With many beaches to chose from, Ligres and Preveli became our favourites during our two and a half weeks stay at the house. We especially liked the laid back feeling at the taverna by the end of the road at Ligres.

When renting a privat house, issues concerning contacts with the owner, payment, and how to fix upcoming problems during the stay is of equal importance to views and beaches. When renting Villa Pelago everything has worked great, from the first contact with the owner and payment routines, to on site help when we needed help getting the AC started. All we can say is don't be afraid doing business with Kim Walsh!

Thank you Kim for letting us stay in your house - it gave us a great opportunity to explore Crete beyond the hotell gardens and all-inclusive wristbands.

We spent an idyllic week in this beautiful, traditional house perched on the edge of a small village overlooking the Libyan Sea. We will treasure the hours spent there -- the dazzling views of the sea and islands,the terraces and gardens draped in honeysuckle, jasmine and bougainvillea, with ripe apricots and cherries, and the sweet cats who visited. My husband, 13 year old daughter and I all thoroughly enjoyed our time here and wished that we could have stayed longer.

This is the perfect place to get away from it all, unplug or use a base for exploring the southern beaches, Phaestos and other sites. We liked going to Ligres beach, which was only a short drive away, with few people, beautiful, blue waters and two good tavernas. Spili is not too far away for groceries, ATM's and WiFi, although it would be a good idea to stock up on provisions in Iraklio or Rethymno before heading out to Kerames.

The owner was very attentive and communicative and provided great information on the house, local beaches, restaurants, services, driving in Crete, etc. The caretaker, who lives in a nearby village, greeted us and made sure that we were well situated.

Highly recommended and we hope to return!

Fantastic Crete! This is heaven on Earth if you are looking for peace and tranquality! It appears to us that Crete isn`t affected much at all by the financially crisis in Greece, as it was "business as usual" whereever we went.

We've had a fantastic time here in crete. It really is like going back in time. We even saw a lovely gentleman putting is shopping on the back of his donkey outside the supermarket. (Now, that's something you don't see outside Asda!)
Everyone has been so friendly.
We've swam & snorkeled in the sea every day. Our favorite beaches are Triopetra and Ligres where the Tavernas are fab and good value. We had fun collecting sea urchin shells, saw lots of fish and an Octopus and a Moray Eel. The large sand dune is quite amazing and fun to run down as the sun starts to set.
We loved our time at the Villa. Thank You for sharing it with us!

Best views we have ever had, almost matched by the views at night. Enjoyed the house and the artistic touches, discovering something new every day.
