My husband and I and another couple stayed in this condo for a month in November/December 2010. We had stayed in the Keauhou Punahele complex the year before so we knew that the complex itself is quiet and the grounds are well maintained. When we arrived for our stay in this unit we were pleasantly surprised at the obvious thought that had gone into choosing the furniture, cookware, dishes and other amenities. The condo was very clean and well maintained which made us feel right at home. We would definitely rent this condo again. The owner was very helpful and even called to check that we had everything we needed which was a nice touch.
The Keauhou area of Kona has everything you need to be comfortable during your vacation on the Big Island as the Keauhou Shopping Center is close by. I definitely recommend kayaking across Kealakekua Bay early in the morning but be sure to take your mask, snorkel and fins that you can rent at Jack's Diving Locker in the Coconut Grove Marketplace in Kona.
