Absolutely gorgeous!

In May 2012 we called Twin Palms our home for 9 days - everything about the property was exactly as described and more. The previous two reviews tell the story perfectly. The pictures posted of the property online are worth a thousand words: Twin Palms is everything you see in the pictures. One of the things we liked most about the property was that the kitchen and wet bar have everything any cook/bartender would ever need and more. A lot of time was also spent in the gorgeous infinity pool. And, as a previous reviewer described, the patio and inside living spaces seem to become one when the doors/windows are opened. The two main bedrooms, on the second level, also open up to a large deck overlooking the pool and Dawn Beach. Looking out to the Caribbean without leaving bed is simply priceless. The bathrooms adjacent to the two main bedrooms are very spacious, modern with marble tile throughout. Twin Palms is truly paradise. The property is very well maintained and VERY clean. It is also a 5-10 minute drive from many terrific restaurants in case you don't feel like cooking. The maid and gardener who tend the property are friendly and helpful should you need suggestions during your stay. We have already reserved our dates to return in 2013 and are looking forward to it! If you are looking for a place to in Saint Martin, and specifically, Dawn Beach, this is THE place to stay!

Beautiful home with extraordinary views!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Twin Palms. The villa was very clean and provided everything you could imagine for a fun vacation; there was even snorkeling gear for the family! The views of Dawn Beach were beautiful and look pretty much just like the photos. The only caveat would be that walking to the beach from the villa is not a straight shot--or not for the less than physically fit. The rocky path from the villa to the Westin was quite the workout. However, once at the beach, the blue waters and Westin amenities were worth the trek. We enjoyed snorkeling right at the beach. The maid service provided by Rosalie was outstanding. She is such an asset with her warm personality and her attention to detail. We would definitely come back to Twin Palms!

Dawn Beach vacation

Villa was beautiful. Very well equipped - right down to beach towels and coolers! Went with another couple and both had private sleeping quarters with bath. Having stayed in Phillisburg before this place was more remote and did require renting a car to get around. The roads to the villa were terrible! With four people in a compact car we tended to bottom-out in the huge holes. The pictures on the website were very accurate regarding the inside and deck of the villa. The only thing was that it was listed as beachfront with an easy path to the ocean. Having bad knees it was not an option for us to walk down the path and it was very dark at night - no lighting. Everyone prior to our visit was very accomodating answering our questions about the villa. The music system was not working. Also it was uncomfortable having to close shutters for security reasons. Would have liked to have left the windows open at night and listened to the sounds of water and such. It felt a little closed in. Didn't realize that breakins were so prevelant. Overall it was an enjoyable time. However, if we were to return to St. Maarten we would stay closer to Phillisburg where you can catch local transportation and it is easier to get to restaurants and such. We weren't comfortable driving the roads to the villa at night so it limited our evening time.

Wonderful Week!

The property was wonderful. Everything was clean and spotless. The Housekeeper does a great job maintaining the property.
The view is amazing. We spent many evenings on the deck enjoying the view and listening to the ocean. There is even a friendly cat that visitied us each evening. (Don't forget to put cat food on your shopping list.)
We used the local grocery delivery service. They did a great job and even stocked the groceries for us.
You will need a car, as the property is in a residential area. The roads can be a little challenging.
The property owners were wonderful!. They were easy to work with and great communicators.
There are a number of stairs in the house, which could be a problem for someone with mobility issues.
You will find that the house looks just like the pictures.
The house is well stocked - you just need to pack your swimming suit and enjoy!

Paradise on St. Martin

We made our second visit to the Twin Palms Villa this year and enjoyed it just as much as last year. Because it is so well equipped it makes life so much more enjoyable. We can actually all be in the kitchen preparing our own breakfast and not get in each others way as the kitchen is so spacious. The deck is so huge and the lounges so comfortable, it is difficult to leave. However, being near one of the best beaches, we did leave for a couple hours each day. The property is very well maintained inside and out and you will not find a better housekeeper than this one as she even washes the window screens. A lovely lady! We have already recommended this property to others. Some of our favorite restaurants nearby are Big Fish, Canoa, Quai West and Danials by the Sea. However since we have been going to St. Martin for the past 14 years we have many faves. The owners will provide you with an extensive list of things to do. During the past 14 years this is still our favorite place to stay and we have already booked for next year.

Spectacular property!

Our family vacationed at Twin Palms in early January of 2012. The view from the deck is unbelievable. The house and infinity pool are carved into the side of the mountain with spectacular views of the beach below and St. Barths. We have rented many properties over the years but this house was the most beautiful and the best equipped—it made cooking in the home fun! It has a big open kitchen and family room, a gas grill and unbelievable decks and an infinity pool. The set-up with the glass doors opening onto the deck gives you the impression that the inside and outside are one. There are so many wonderful amenities to this house: wet bar with a small refrigerator and wine refrigerator, beautiful décor, spotless bathrooms and the proximity to Dawn beach is great—a short walk. The island is small enough that you can visit a different beach every day. It was a wonderful vacation I would highly recommend staying at Twin Palms.

Awesome Time at Twin Palms

My family and I stayed at Twin Palms Villa between July 3 - 17, 2011 and we had a great time in fact we didn't want to leave. The villa is exactly as it looks in the pictures (no surprises), very clean and is very spacious. Owner was a pleasure to deal with. What a beautiful place with breathtaking views and there was always a nice breeze coming off the ocean! The beds and pillows were so comfortable, we always woke up rested and refreshed. We loved the little extra's that the villa offered like free wi-fi, bose ipod dock sound system with outdoor speakers, bar area with ice maker and beer/wine fridge. We highly recommend this place. The villa is well located close to the best beaches on the island.

Beautiful Getaway!!
Hard to beat waking up each morning to the sound of surf, beautiful
sunrise and overlooking a stunning beach. Walked each morning to buy
fresh French bread and sat on patio feeling blessed to be there. Your
home is perfect for one or two couples or small family. To be able to
walk to beach, snorkeling, great restaurants or beach bars made for a
perfect week. also just a short drive to great shopping, orient beach
and our favorite street in Grand Case. Thanks for sharing your little

Twin Palms- St Maarten

Our family of 5 adults spent 3 glorious weeks at the Twin Palms Villa. This was our 13th visit to St. Maarten but our first time at this villa. Twin Palms is very spacious and modern. It has a large well equipped ktichen. The two fridges, as well as the bar fridge came in very handy. The patio furniture is so comfy we found it hard to leave to go to the beach which is only a short walk away. To top it all off the view is amazing. The minute we arrived we were very impressed with this "piece of paradise". We will definitely be returning!!

Wonderful vacation

This is a beautiful villa; completely equipped for your every need be it preparing for a day at the beach or just relaxing on the deck enjoying the gentle breezes, sounds of the ocean and the stunning view.
We felt very safe on the island and with all the info the owners shared about places to see etc we knew our way around very quickly. The housekeeper is a lovely lady, goes about her work in a non intrusive way and leaves it spotless.
This was a family vacation with our 2 daughters and their husbands and 1 grandchild 21/2 years) and everyone without exception thoroughly enjoyed their time here albiet too short.
The description and photos of the property are completely accurate. The studio although small has all the amenities as described.
The Westin is very close for anyone wishing to go to the casino or out for dinner. We used the conceirge service at the hotel for booking a day trip to St Barth's.
We had a wonderful time here and would go back in a heartbeat.
