We stayed at the Chelsea Vineyards' home to attend our son's wedding which was at the next door winery, Hans Fayden. The house is in a lovely setting surrounded by grape vines, fully ripe in October. The home was welcoming and very well equipped. We had 4 couples and our 11 year old grandson with us and were very comfortable. On the night after the wedding, we had family over and could not believe how comfortable a large group could be in that house. We loved the hot tub and walking around the vineyard. It was a short drive to Calistoga and all its amenities.

To celebrate my 50th Birthday, my bookclub friends and family enjoyed a mid-October weekend at the Vineyard House. We lucked-out on the weather and the 80 degree days and 70 degree nights.
The eight of us had plenty of room, given the four good-sized bathrooms and four good-sized bedrooms. The kitchen was especially accomodating with a good lay-out and multiple work areas. The living room has comfy couches and plenty of seating areas. The beds were also very comfortable. The house is very clean and well kept.
Although the house is a five minute drive to Calistoga, I would not recommend walking or biking along Petrified Forest Road (which is narrow and much busier than you would think it would be). However, the location of the house is very convienient to Calistoga and surrounding towns like St Helena and Healsburg (which should be on your agenda).

What a great property in Calistoga area! Staying in the middle of a vineyard, during harvest season, where the grapes are ripe, and olives and walnuts are blooming, it felt like we stayed in a paradise. A perfect house in a perfect location, what a great way to celebrate my mother's birthday and my post wedding celebration! The house is big, it has 4 bdrooms, and it has all amenities you need (even grillers, rice cooker, etc.), kitchen is also well stocked. The property is close to everything, e.g. CalMart, our fav winery Sterling, Geyser, and other nice wineries. The house and ground are well kept. When we arrived, there was an egg smell in the kitchen area, so we ended up cleaning the counter top and rewash most glasses. Maybe the previous renter or the cleaning person didn't clean well. But no biggie. Another thing, the property is located close to a major road, so during day time, it can get pretty noisy around the patio area. But most of the house is quiet and relaxing, and the noise dies down in early evening. We hung out on the patio one night to look at the stars, boy the sky was so clear, we could see a thick milky way!

Overall, it is a great property in a great location! My mother was so happy that she got to celebrate her birthday in a middle of a vineyard. I have recommended this place to my friends, and I'd love to stay at this property again in the future. Thank you Chelsea Vineyard!

The stay was wonderful. The house is very peaceful and in a perfect location. Close to Calistoga and St. Helena, it is a wondeful place to stay for a weekend in Wine Country. I booked the house for a group of friends attending my wedding, and they loved it. The owners, Dave and Susan, gave us complete privacy and were a phone call away the whole weekend. I couldn't have asked for a better place. It is priced very reasonable, and perfect for a large group stay. I will definitely book this house again in the future.

The house was perfect for our group of 4 couples. The 4 bedrooms/bath were charming and each had a personality of its own. The LR and kitchen were very functional for our group. We spent the first evening on the patio and enjoyed an outdoor picnic dinner. Some of us even ventured in the hot tub after dinner which was quite a treat. You're literally in a secluded vineyard where there is no one around except yourself, nature and the few animals that roam (although we didn't see but heard a few.) Just a short distance away by car, great restaurants and markets are available. What more can you ask for?

The house was clean and well maintained and I would definitely recommend this home to friends and relatives. If I travel with a small group again, this home will certainly be on the top of my list.

Two families shared this wonderful house. The vineyards surrounding the house gave a feeling of total privacy even though the location is pretty close to the town of Calistoga. Having 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms was perfect for four couples trying to get ready for a wedding at the Hans Fahden Vineyard which was a mile up the road!!

We stayed for three days to enjoy the golf, the shopping, the wedding and the relaxation this house afforded us. We barbequed, ate outdoors on the ample deck and just soaked up our surroundings.

Our exprience renting from the property managers was seamless. Communication was prompt and all information was accurate. There wasn't a hitch in this weekend.

Great house conveniently located to Napa and Sonoma wine country. Lovely setting in the middle of a vineyard with a hot tub that is a treat on cool evenings.

Lounging in the hot tub with wine glass in hand watching the hummingbirds twirl and dive. A perfect ending to a perfect day of winery tastings. Situated in the middle of a vineyard, this property is a true 'home away from home'. Spacious, well appointed and comfortable with all the amenities needed to accommodate our group of 10. The location is great for day trips south to Napa or across the ridge and south to Sonoma or North to Healdsburg and beyond. Not to mention the 'jewel' of a neighbor - Hahns Fahden Winery just a short hike away. We highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great vacation spot in wine country.
