Our Stay
The lay out of the house is nice and open. Comfortable furniture. Nice kitchen. Large laundry room. Wonderful Master Bedroom. Stores and Resturants within 4 miles. Wonderful neighbors. Doris,the caretaker is a joy to talk with. We had a great time. The view is breath taking with beautiful Swans that pay a visit everyday. We would reccomend this home.

Lovely home!
This is a beautiful home, so clean and pretty inside and out. The view is fantastic even though it rained some. Very open floor plan and lot of windows. There were no hidden charges, the owner was very helpful, we had a great time. House is as pretty as the pictures indicate. Only a few minutes to the town of Colonial Beach. House has everything you need and has great new kitchen and tile bathrooms. We loved the dock and Tiki bar. Very private on a wide expanse of water. The locals told us to eat at the Dockside restaurant, I had the BEST lump crab cakes and everyone loved the oysters and shrimp; good service too. We all loved the beds, they were comfy and clean. Should have brought my fishing pole, saw a guy catch a big fish!

Peaceful and Relaxing
My sister and I rented this house over the Christmas holiday while visiting family in the area. The house was very comfortable, spacious and clean. The kitchen is fully functioning with pots & pans, dishes and flatware. We were able to entertain and host family with ease and great comfort. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this for a family get away. The bedrooms were very comfortable.

Our stay at Colonial beach house
Very well layed out open floor plan. Nicely furnished. Large screen TV. Comfortable sofas. Well equipped kitchen. The Master bedroom is beautiful. Very clean home. Wonderful view of the water with nice pier. Beautiful sunsets. The swans paid us a visit every day. Grill and picnic table for eating in. Very close to town, grocery stores,and Great Seafood Restaurants. Friendly neighbors and Caretaker Doris, is a joy. Would we rent it again? Oh! Yeah!

Wonderful experience.
We loved this house! It was beautifully redone and very clean. Most of the furniture seemed new as well. It was very spacious and perfect for a family getaway. The backyard was perfect for our nosy beagle, and the dock was fantastic for fishing - especially the boat house. The roof kept out the sun, and it was cozy in the rain. The owner was very helpful with all our concerns, and a neighbor was a wonderful help. What a wonderful view - watching all the wild life explore the area and the water. Very relaxing. Terrific time.

Beautiful!
This house has been completely remodeled and is very welcoming. We stuffed three families with three children in the house, but were still comfortable. The view is incredible - there was even a bald eagle in the tree one afternoon. The house has everything you'll need, just bring food and get careful directions!

We'll surely return!
The house was even better than the description / pictures. Most everything was new, completely re-done. Great kitchen, excellent view, comfortable beds. The property was clean and in good shape. The owner answered all my questions and and had someone meet us with a key. She was very helpful and provided us with a map to the local boat launch and let us know how to contact her if we needed anything at all.
The neighbors were great and friendly, a quiet street, we loved the dock at the house (complete with a jet ski lift which we used).
I went with my two children (ages 19 and 21) and our dog (pre-approved) and we had more than enough room. We visited the Beach part of Colonial Beach one day, went jet skiing both days (we brought our jet ski) picked up pizza at Ledo's one day for lunch, grilled out both nights, had a fire in the outdoor fire pit one night, watched a movie on the big TV, visited Nancy's Ice Cream one evening, etc. I enjoyed time on the dock reading. We had a great weekend. Terry was very helpful and prompt with information before our stay---would surely recommend this place to a friend---hope there'll be some free days when we can return, as well!
