Just returned from a week at the Matthews Cottage, which is part of the "Anchorage on the Bay" condos. Travelling with my wife and small children this was a wonderful experience. Might be a little crampted for 4 adults, but perfect for a young family get-away. They had everything we needed, a great porch with grill, outside shower, convenient parking and a couple minute walk down the boardwalk to the beach. You can see p-town while sitting at the kitchen table. Truro is quite remote, with nothing in town (however Sweet Escape is the best ice cream we've ever had), and only really easy to access p-town (anytime we tried to venture south past Truro we ended up stuck in 1+ traffic). But if you want a quite vacation on the beach and don't mind going to stop-and-shop and grilling this is the perfect. The beach is great for kids because at low tide you can probably walk out a half mile before the water reaches your knees, and there are several sand bars that are fun to play on. Main beach is a little rocky and fully of sea weed, but nice enough, and the water is very clean and calm. Only thing I could have wanted more is for them to provide wifi access. This cottage was much nicer looking than many of the others you see passing by on 6A, and was clean and well maintained. Owner was EXTREMELY responsive. We would return for sure.
