Tommaso, thank you for a great apt. You were very helpful and nice. The apt. is large and the view is perfect! Better than the pictures. The walk up three flights of stairs is worth the effort. The neighborhood is quite and the walk to the Ponte Vecchio kept our weight down. I have kept your contact info. to give to any friends who might go to Florence. Fantastic view,especially at night when the city lights are on !!!Nice neighborhood ,safe and quiet!
We did find a few inconveniences!!
No ironing board and wash machine in the apartment,only a dry cleaning/laundry service down the street!So I do not reccomend it for a really long stay,or for a family!
Shower head very old small and heavy with not a lot of water pressure,so if you have long hair to wash like me.. it is little harder!!
Air condition is only located in the main living room and spare bedroom ,so master bedroom can not be as cool,especially if you will be there during summer,this top floor apartment can be really hot!We also after few days, have had to ask for the remote control to put it on,at first the owner wanted us to wait for use it..and I think if you have listed some things you need to make sure you can provide for it!!Even for the ironing board we have had not success,I did use the table!
Last detail,when we arrive the kitchen was not really clean,we did find the appliances dirty, and we end up to clean it our self!
In the end all worked out anyway,but we stayed only for a week!
The place is in a great location..you can walk everywhere ,and find things nearby.You can also use city buses or even a taxi, they are reasonably priced!
Not far ,down the street we recommended the ristorante pizzeria il Conte Ugulino,also the Pasticceria ,for sweets, is great! One note pizza in Firenze is not the best thing to eat!!!
For sure in the city,near Ponte Vecchio(Borgo S.Jacopo 43r) not to miss Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco,the pappardelle with wild boar are delicious!! Also Il mercato centrale,perfect to buy fresh food of all kind! I will avoid the ristorante pub Argentino 7 Secoli,for sure not autentic!!I am Italian ,my husband is American we travel and live in different country around the world so we can use our experience!
We did enjoy our time there,but personally I will not use the place for more then a week ..for a longer vacation or a large family I will look around for a more practical option! The stairs also can become a issue!I was expecting better customer service from the owner!

The apartment was awesome, it was everything they said it would be and more. The view was amazing of Florence and the steps to the penthouse will keep the pasta & pizza worked off... The neigborhood was nice and safe, we were walking distance to anything we needed, taxi and bus was close by. We ate at two different restaurants in the area, Porta Vinca and up the street a little on the same side of the street another restaurant can't remember the name, but it was wonderful, we ate there a couple times. Loved the place, my only complaint was the water pressure.

We (a family of four) stayed here for a week over the new year's holiday.

Tommaso met us at the door and showed us around the space. Clean with all the amenities we hoped for. Beautiful views of the city on a quiet street and a 20 min walk into the center of Florence.

Butcher, wine, bread, groceries, pastries all near by. Easy parking when we picked up our car.

Easy to cook in and have guests over (a family of four shared dinner with us several evenings).

Slept well. Plenty of hot water in the shower (really--we have two teenage daughters)

We felt blessed to have this oasis for a vacation spot.

Only thing I would change is to have a car sooner (we didn't rent until the last day). It would have been fun and easy to do day trips from this apartment to surrounding villages.

I'd definitely stay again next time we are in Florence.

Tomasso proved to be an excellent host during our family's (two adults and two teenagers) stay at this appartment during the last week of June, 2009. The descriptions in the listing are accurate and the photos provide true images of what you can expect. The apartment is clean, modern and well appointed. You do need to be able to walk up four flights of stairs. We had plenty of hot water for showers.

We were particulary impressed with the terraces, The rear one provides a quite view of cypress treetops and greenery. The front balcony is impressive especially during evenings with the Duomo in the foreground and the Tuscan hils on the horizon, We found the location to be convenient. We walked to major tourism sites of Florence within 20 or 30 minutes.

We recommend the following nearby businesses; the Gelaterie on Via Senese (go down the hill, turn left on Senese and walk about two blocks), the butcher shop on the corner, and Trattoria Ruggero at 89R Via Senese (go down the hill to Senese, turn right and walk about three blocks). We also had a great, day long bike ride with Ibikeitaly.

It sits right after the Porta Romana which is the antique gate of the Florence city.
It is the in/out gate for the direction of Siena, so it would be the pefect location for the person who wants to enjoy the visits in the country side of Toscany like, Siena, San Geminiano, and the Chianti area.

Anyway, the view is fantastic!
I can gurantee that you would get the exactly the same view as what you see on the web site without any tricks.
Believe me that it is supurb!!!
