Great get away

This is really a Heavens View! Tom and Dianna have left nothing out of this home. Everything that you would need or want is in this home. Beautiful home and yard. The flowers are so beautiful and smell so good. It rained one day and they have some great DVD's to watch. They also provide you with a computer so you can keep in touch with things going on at home and work if need be. We enjoyed the campfires and fishing everyday. On this trip we had our son and daughter-in-law and their dog's with us and there was plenty of room for all of us. They dogs really enjoyed the house and yard. We would all like to come back again in the future.

Lovely lakehouse for a perfect vacation

We loved our vacation in the lakehouse. The house, garden and the view of the lake were simply great. The house was very clean and had everything we could wish for. It even surpassed the description with for instance all kinds of shampoos, showergels and firewood for the fireplace in the garden. Tom and Dianna are the best holiday hosts we ever had and really made us feel welcome. Unfortunately we couldn't make the ponton trip because the water in the lake was too low. We enjoyed looking over the water at the pelicans and the sunsets.
We would recommend this house to anyone looking for a beautiful quiet spot. The nearby Horicon Marsh is perfect for hiking, birdwatching and canoeing.

It was a pleasure meeting you two and we're glad you enjoyed your stay at Heavens View. It sounds like you were able to visit a lot of Southern Wisconsin while you were here. Hopefully when you come back, the Lake is a little higher - this was the worst drought on record during our life-time! However, we know that you especially enjoyed the wildlife and canoeing on the Horicon Marsh and touring the Kettle Moraine. What a lovely setting. The owners were great to work with. You won't be disappointed. This place gets 5 stars.

We were going to stop by and introduce ourselves but the driveway was full of cars and we didn't want to interupt. Maybe next time we will get to meet you - lot's of families make the the house an annual or semi-annual place to get together.

Life's not fair......we didn't want to go home! We (my husband and ) and another couple were guests for a 3-day week-end. We live hectic lives that, although rewarding, are very exhausting. We needed beauty, comfort, peace, nature, laughter and sleep....and we got it. The layout of the house was perfect for 2 couples who wanted to spend time together but also needed time to be alone as a couple. One bdrm and bath were at opposite ends of the house from the other bdrm and bath. Cooking was fun because the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and there was no scale for weighing ourselves! The local restaurants were quite good in terms of taste, variety, service, price and warmth/hospitality. We enjoyed the boat tour through the Horicon Marsh....if you go, don't do what we did....we left the binoculars at the lake home! Very, very, very hospitable and gracious. THANKS! This is a VERY nice place and we enjoyed our time there. I slept quite well there. I would recommend this to anyone except those that want to catch fish. Not a good fishing lake. However, if you want enjoy the water and the beautiful scenery, then this is your place.
The place is very clean and comfortable. Very good pizza is just down the road, however, if you want pizza on Wednesday you better get there before 5:00, it is their bowling night and close at 5:30.
The owners where nice and accommodating. Again I would recommend this place.

Risposta del proprietario: Glad you enjoyed yourself. Dianna said you had a chance to eat some prime rib and probably the best broasted chicken you ever eaten. Sorry the lake isn't much of a fishing lake yet. We plant fish every year and in a few more it'll be great fishing. The Channel Cats are getting quite large since they planted them 4 or 5 years ago. Someone caught a 20 lb one this summer and you can catch lots of bullheads, an occasional perch or blue gill off the pier. In spring and fall, they catch Walleyes below the dam in town. As for the pizza, they normally are open so mustn't have been able to get a relief bartender that night. Hope you had fun and that you'll come back when it's a little warmer next year!

Gorgeous Property is Also Pet-friendly

Our week-long stay at this lovely, well-cared for lake cottage was everything I'd hoped for...and more. I chose the end of September for our much-needed vacation because I thought it would still be warm and summer-like, and where better to spend a carefree week than at a lake in rural Wisconsin? Well, the cottage, the location, the attention to detail by Dianna Williams lived up to my expectations...and then some! The weather, however didn't. But we still had a wonderful time. The house is spacious, warm and comfy, with a well-stocked kitchen, firm, luxurious beds, great bed and bath linens, a CD and DVD player (and a library of all kinds of DVDs), a computer and printer and laundry facilities. The only disappointment was in the weak shower pressure in the two bathrooms. We brought more food than we needed because food (and drink) is available at a local tavern just 4 doors from the cottage. There's a restaurant in town that makes a great broasted chicken for take-out, and there are many other places nearby (such as the Upper Crust for breakfast, lunch and the most delicious pies ever in nearby Watertown). The lake is lovely! The sunsets are spectacular, as are Dianna's beautiful flower beds all around the property. I enjoyed greeting the blue heron each morning and evening as he fished for his dinner just across from the dock. I loved the feisty little squirrel who climbed down to the bird feeder several times a day, as well as the array of other birds who nest in the many bird houses on the property. Day trips to visit Watertown's famous Octagon House and the nation's first kindergarten building, to the Audubon Inn and the knitting shop in Mayville, and of course to the breath-taking Horicon Marsh are a must. The sight and sounds of so many breeds of birds, from geese to cranes, is truly awesome to behold. In short, we will definitely plan to vacation again at this beautiful cottage in this restful, lovely location.

Great spot!

Even though we were only here a short while, we really enjoyed our stay. All the comforts of home in a beautiful lakeside setting! While relaxing out in the patio, we watched a muskrat (we assume) swimming by with building materials for his lodge in tow. Nearby Horicon Marsh was a wonderful place to spend an afternoon with plenty of wildlife, easy hiking paths and lovely views. We even got a good look at the Neotropical Cormorant, who made an unusual visit this far north. The hour long boatride through the marsh was both informative and enjoyable. But our favorite activity was just sitting out on the patio at Heaven's View, relaxing and gazing at the lake. We definitely hope to return. Thanks to Tom and Dianna for all the hospitality.

I have stayed in Dianna and Tom's properties twice and it only gets better! I have never felt so welcomed and loved. Not only are their properties beautiful inside and out, but they as individuals are as well. If I had 50 pages there would not be enough space to adequately praise their offering and efforts. If you want to be treated like a pampered guest and an old friend, book their spots now!!! I can guarantee you will NOT be disappointed.

How can I say anything more than has already been said. We usually come twice a year to visit family and friends for a week in a hotel but we decided in to looking to stay a month this time, and found Tom & Dianna's place for rent. We rented it for the month of April. This place is very nice...5 stars for sure. If you want something to do inside the house should the weather not co-operate, they have stocked it with cd’s, dvd,s, books, magazines, games, and a computer if you need one. Although, we brought our own laptop...and there was a perfect place on a small desk in the LV or on the kitchen counter end where the grandkids could play game on when we didn't go outside. This place is beautifully decorated with lovely pictures on the wall and baskets of flowers to match the rest of the decore. It was so peaceful to come back from a hectic day. We also got to see the pelicans amongst many other birds and wildlife. We even got to have Easter at "our" home away from home. We may live in "Gods Country"...but this is truley "Heaven's View". Thank You Tom & Dianna for having this place to rent...we will be back.

From your entery in the house diary, it sounds like you got to experience the 4 seasons this April- from snow to 80 degree temperatures! We're glad that you were able to enjoy the Daffodil's but it doesn't look like the Tulips quite made it. They're starting to bloom like crazy now. We hope you come back this fall when the Mum's are blooming and the leaves start turning color. We'll give you a pontoon ride on the lake because the shoreline is an explosion of colors at the peak. Montana is the "Big Sky" but we believe both it and Wisconsin are "Gods Country". Stay safe!

If I had pages to fill, I could not say enough about my experience at this lovely spot! From the moment I had contact with Tom and Dianna, I felt like I was reconnecting with old friends. There was not one thing that was lacking in the whole experience. Everything was so nicely decorated and immaculate! The host/hostess were so extremely helpful in acquainiting me with what was available in the area. I cannot wait to make a return trip and watch one of those breath-taking sunsets! Keep up the great work, Dianna and Tom!
