We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Las Canitas and the location was great for us. the owners and their family provided excellent customer service. I would recommend the apt. to friends. The property was clean. We liked strolling Baez Street and enjoyed the restaurants and cafe's in the area. The only glitch was the delay with the Wi-Fi and trying use the telephone. We found the information sheet very helpful. thank-you so much.

I stayed in this lovely apartment for almost two months. The apartment is well furnished and clean. The building is well maintained and the encargado (doorman) is both friendly and helpful. The owners went out of their way to make sure I had found everything I needed and that I was comfortable.

The apartment is perfect for either one or two people. There are plenty of utensils and kitchen equipment for basic cooking and eating. I did not do any intensive cooking while I stayed because.... this apartment is located RIGHT in the middle of restaurant row in Las Canitas. (And about a 10 minute walk from the BEST place in Buenos Aires to have coffee and pastries: La Imprenta-- try it!)

The location is amazing-- hardly a step from restaurants, shops, and bakeries. The nearest Subte stop is about a seven minute walk. There is also a train station about 8-10 minute walk which you can use to get to Retiro or out of town to Tigre. There are many bus stops about 3 blocks away on Avenida Luis Campos. I found that I had easy access to all of Buenos Aires and the surrounds.

The neighborhood is upscale but also friendly. I made the acquaintance of neighbors and shop keepers. There are a lot of families in the neighborhood-- it's great to watch them all congregate outside the local ice cream shops in the evenings. This area is quite safe.

If I am lucky enough to return to Buenos Aires, you'll find me back in this apartment.

This apartment was as good as it gets. We rented in early March and in a heat wave so the air conditioner was essential and much appreciated. We come from a cold climate. It is in a very social area full of quality restaurants (most of which we tried) and grocery stores and laundromats and near enough to subway stops. All cabbies knew where "Las Canitas" was. Hadn't figured out the bus system but next time... The shower/bath was great with no shortage of hot water. The owners even provided shampoo and toothpaste, a bonus for those of us who are not allowed to take"liquids" on the plane. Very clean and easy to keep that way. We were provided with a great synopsis of the place and tips for the neighbourhood and made use of it. Can't think of anything that it lacked for us.

It did not start off well as we had flown in from Nova Scotia and Air Canada had left one of our bags in Toronto. As a result we were more than two hours late for our appointment and the representative had gone. The next door restaurant called her and she arrived in 5 minutes. The owners called us from the US that evening to ensure that everything was alright.
The apartment is well located on Baez street which is in a fashionable neighbourhood filled with restaurants and night life. Fortunately, the apartment is at the back of the building so there was no late night noise. The view of the Polo grounds and surrounding high rises is quite stunning. There is a large supermarket a few blocks away and we were able to get provisions right away.
There were many little necessities left in the apartment such as spices and oil which made life much easier. There was plenty of room for the two of us and another family member could be easily accommodated. A very clean and pleasantly furnished apartment. I highly recommend it and thank the owners for all information and recommendations.""

As a couple travelling with our five month old son we wanted to avoid staying at a hotel, especially given the fact we had a twelve night stay in Buenos Aires. This aparmtent met our needs perfectly, it is in the perfect location, Las Canitas is a very desirable area, and this apartment is located on the main eating strip, Baez. You literally step out of the door and have a dozen restaurant, bar and cafe options in a beautiful leafy, paved neighbourhood. Seriously, for an extended stay in Buenos Aires, you can't under estimate the value of a relaxed neighbourhood, with everything you need in strolling distance.

Within 100 metres you can get your laundry done, have breakfast at an atmospheric cafe, great steak for lunch, pick up some fresh baked goodies at the bakery, maybe an empanada for a snack, fresh fruit from the local fruiter, boutique wines and chocolates, cheeses and small goods plus all your grocery needs from the local corner store and then be 20 steps from really great bars late in the evening!

The apartment is very comfortable, nice shower with plenty of hot water, lots of natural light and a great balcony to sit out on with a bottle of wine. Even though the apartment is locted right near the restaurants and bars, it is positioned on the back of the block so noise isn't an issue. The apartment is a good size for a studio, and we felt comfortable cooking the odd meal and eating in, with a well stocked kitchen and designated dining area. The bedding is comfortable, and the blinds darken the room making sleeping in easy. Being five levels up (there is a lift) you get a great sense of light and space, with the apartment looking back over the polo grounds/race track and beyond the suburbs.

The apartment has a doorman who collects rubbish from outside your door and ensures security within the building (although, the complex and suburb of Las Canitas as a whole, felt very safe.

For sightseeing, Las Canitas is within walking distance of Palermo and the furtherest point of La Boca was a 25 Peso cab ride, with cab prices so cheap, you literally step out of your door, hale a cab and travel to your destination for sightseeing each day, couldn't be easier. And as our Spanish is atrocious, it was handy that every cabbie knew Baez, Las Canitas even through my poor pronunciation!

This aparmtent and location really gave us the sense of living and soaking up BsAS, we started to feel like a local after the 12 days, highly recommended!

We stayed in this studio apartment for a week in January, 2009, and were very happy with the location. The neighbourhood is fun, with lots of people walking around in the evening, and lots of cafes and restaurants. It is walking distance to quite a few sights - botanical garden, zoo - and even to downtown if you are a good walker. The apartment itself is small but comfortable, and the building seemed very secure - we didn't worry about leaving valuables in the apartment. The owners are very easy to deal with, and very helpful with information and suggestions. Security deposit was returned promptly. All in all we were very happy with our week in the apartment. The kitchen equipment is limited (no vegetable peeler, for example) but there are many easily available places to eat. We would recommend it to friends.
