Sardegna, Putzu Idu,casa indipendente con 2 giardini, a 50 m dalle spiagge

I had never been on the West coast of Sardinia, a little 'out of laziness, a little' out of habit .... big mistake! We landed in Olbia August the 1st and after a journey of two hours we arrived in Mandriola, a small village located between two of the most beautiful beaches of Sardinia, about 20 km away from Oristano. Greeting us we did not find large hotels and crowds of tourists, but only sand, sun, sea, sea breeze, green hills.......and Nino, the landlord.
The house is large, comfortable, equipped, you feel that the owners use it routinely to spend their holidays. The highlight of the house are the two interior courtyards, the first facing the kitchen and the dining room, here we had breakfast, lunch and dinner and we relaxed in the shade of a beautiful lemon tree and a generous pear tree, the second characterized by a vine, it was perfect for the return from the beaches, with its two outdoor hot showers.
Mandriola is a small village, but everything is there: a small supermarket, two fruit and vegetables shops , a bar, a restaurant.
It takes only five minutes walk from the house to reach the crystal clear waters of Putzu Idu beach. This is perfect for kids since the water is no more than 50 cm for many and many meters. About two kilometers away is the beach of Sa Mesa Longa, a natural swimming pool from the golden sands. Driving no more than 30 minutes you can reach many other excellent beaches, the ones that I suggest are: Maimoni, a huge expanse of quartz sand reminiscent of the Caribbean, Is Arenas, that has the sand in the shape of a grain of rice, and the beach of San Giovanni in Sinis with the ruins of Tharros behind.

If sometimes does not feel like cooking, try the farms, there are many nearby, they offer excellent local food, meat and fish at reasonable prices.

I really raccomand this place to people looking for a relaxing place and typical Sardinia beaches.
