If your holidays are longer than one week (lucky you!), your accommodation must be a comfortable place: our house provides you with a higher standard than the average holiday rental in Sicily, in any season. We have a central heating and hot water system, a large living-room and dining room with leather sofas, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, a large patio with a bower which is totally invisible from the street where kids can play safely. There also is a roof level terrace which is in the sun all the day round. Take us into consideration for your Winter holidays in Sicily, as we can provide you with a very good ratio between quality and price. Since Winter, 2011, the fireplace is available again for use.

From here, you have easy access to a vast range of activities: Catania’s huge sandy beach 20 km south, the top of Mount Etna with hiking tours and skiing facilities 17 km north, and the picturesque, hilly countryside surrounding the villages in the whole area. If you want to see more of Sicily, motorways are 10 km away, allowing you to move fast across the island, even though “fast” is a word you should erase from your dictionary if you want to visit our beautiful island avoiding tourist traps. Nicolosi is a village of 5000 dwellers where you never need to use a car to buy food or find a good restaurant, all the year round.

Golf:

SKIING ON MOUNT ETNA. There are 10 km of skiing pistes at the Etna Sud ski station, located out of Nicolosi 17 km north of our house. There also is a ski school where you can hire all the equipment you need. You can also reach Etna Sud with public transportation fromthe main square of the village of Nicolosi, 500 metres of our house. Please consider that snow is always present above 1700 metres on Mount Etna during Sicilian Winter, which is between late December and late March: the village of Nicolosi is 750 metres above sea level, so you do not generally have snow there, but the Etna Sud ski station is located between 1980 and 2500 metres above sea level! Don't be misled by the standard 'summerly' image of Sicily: Mount Etna is NOT a small mountain!!!
